Hello! Authornim here would like to congratulate you on completing Where To! It was a short ride but thank you for riding it this long. I've really liked writing this story and take it here to Wattpad where you all can read it. I think it's worth noting that whatever I write stays private until I take the leap and say I wanna share my work with other people without having to just give them a Word file. Thank you for giving Where To some love here.
So as an author, I was playing around the idea of Paris in the Rain by Lauv, the sole inspiration for this story. There was but a single scene that I first thought of when I had an idea for this story, and it's Clair and Jillian taking shelter on a bench underneath a patio in Paris, too tipsy to get back to their hotel by themselves. Of course, that didn't make it to the final version (lmao sorry) and instead I played with what happened to them after the events in Paris. I think the final chapters kind of gave you an idea what went down? Or even better, who went down? aka all of them? Hehe
I know it didn't say much but I hope the mere interactions and the subtle change of heart that happened to both Jillian and Clair sufficed as a story. Even as I wrote and read through this, I thought I should give the characters more depth like internal monologues? But that'll drag the story on, and will make the mood heavier than I wanted it to be. This book is a short story for a reason, and if you wanted more Jill and chill - I mean Clair - this isn't the end for them!
I'm back indefinitely to writing the next few short stories surrounding the events in Paris. Meaniiing, all of the side characters will be having their own short stories! It's been two years since I wrote this but I swear I've thought about it since finishing Where To!
Until then, thank you so much for reading this short story of mine. Remember to take in the sights and have some vino every now and then!
xx Gayle
