I was so surprised by everything that just happened I didn't realise that Tyler and Caroline left. I look at Nik, frowning when I see his expressionless face. "Did you really have to do that?" I question him. He looks over at me, shielding his emotions from me.

"I'm showing Tyler a lesson." he explains as if it's the most reasonable thing ever.

"I understand your angry with Tyler , but that is between you and him, you didn't have to bring Caroline into this. You didn't have to bite her!" I scold him, my voice getting louder by the end.

"Yes I di-" Nik says but i Cut him off.

"No, you really didn't ! You didn't have to bite her! Basically killing her! She's my friend! If she dies, she's not coming back, it's not a dagger, she won't come back like your sister, Nik! She doesn't deserve to die!" I explain to him, nearly shouting through it all, but calming down at the end.

Nik doesn't  say a word, just stares at me with an unreadable expression. Behind him I see Tyler carrying Caroline down the stairs, and into the living room He sets her downs on the floor, and Nik turns around.

"You want to be in control, Klaus?" Here. Now you get to be in control of her life. If you want her to die, fine. But then you can sit here and watch her die yourself." Tyler  tells Nik, then walks out of the house.

I hold my breath as he walks over to Caroline. "Nothing personal, love. If I cure you, that means victory for him. Don't worry. It won't be long now." he tells her. I let out a breath of disappointment and he walks away from her..

I quickly go to Caroline, and kneel beside her, "Hey. Come on. Let's get you on the couch." I say to her softly. She gently nods, adn slowly, gets up, with my help. We go to the couch and I have her lay down. I sit on the edge of the couch, next to her waist.

Caroline looks over at Nik, who wasn't ever looking over at us. She takes in a raspy breath. "If you don't feed me you blood, I'll die." Caroline says weakly towards him.

I glance over at Nik to see him still not looking at us. "Then you'll die, and Tyler will learn his lesson the hard way." Nik tells her.

"How could you do this to him? To his mom? To me? To Clara?" Caroline guilts Nik softly, which causes him to glance over to us.

"I'm a thousand years old. Call it boredom." Nik shrugs.

Caroline and us both glance at each other then look back at towards Nik, "We don't believe you." We both tell him.

Nik looks over at us annoyed, "Fine. Then maybe it's because I'm pure evil, and I can't help myself." Nik tries to excuse, but we weren't having it. Especially not me.

"It's because you were hurt. Which means that there is  part of you that is human." Caroline works out.

Nik walks over to us and sits across from us on the table, "How could you possibly think that?" he questions her.

"Because I've seen it. Whenever you and Clara are together, I've caught myself wishing that I could forget all the horrible things that you've done." Caroline explains.

Nik looks at me for a moment before looking back towards Caroline, "But you can't can you?" he asks.

"I know that you love Clara. And that she loves you. And anyone capable of love is capable of being saved." she explains to him.

Her words bring tears to my eyes, falling to my cheeks. I look at Nik and see him look conflicted, he glances at me, then looks away from both of our gazes.

"You're hallucinating." He tells her, unconvincingly.

"I guess I'll never know." she says weaker then before. Her breathing almost stopping, her eyes fluttering shut.

"Caroline?" I ask softly, but she doesn't open her eyes. I look at Nik, him looking at me, torn.

He then looks back at Caroline, then shifts to sit on the couch with Caroline's head on his lap. he sits her up a bit, then bites his own wrists, then puts it in her mouth. She reacts, and starts to drink his blood, and relief fills me.

She's going to be okay.
