"you're new here?" she asked him.
"yeah, I just moved here four days ago." seungyoun answered.
"then, you'll love it here." she flashes one last smile before Seol moves back to her table.
He was left staring at her smiling to customers and occasionally talking to some of them.
Why did he feel this way? Why is he feeling warm just by conversing with her?
He was about to walk up to her again but he felt his phone vibrate in his pockets.
Seungwoo Hyung
Hey, you free? There's a place I want to take you.
He didn't want to say yes, but all his friend did in thier little trip was help him.
So he looked at her one last time, being immersed in the book she was reading, he thought he'd just make his leave.
So he did, Seungwoo texted him the place. It was just an Inn beside the beach.
Seungwoo, as long as seungyoun could remember was always there for him. The guy is practically his brother by now, but lately he looks stressed, tired even. Maybe this trip was for both of them.
He saw him waiting in one of the tables in the Inn, busy scrolling on his phone. He called him and they chat for a while before their food finally arrived.
By now, they already finished their meal and right now, sitting on the sand, staring at the waves crash on the shore, their feet bare.
Seungwoo's phone buzzed, disturbing the serene silence. Seungyoun noticed his phone has been buzzing since earlier.
"hey, dont you think that's important? It's been ringing all day." he said but his friend just replied with a humm.
The sky was starting to dim down, slowly being colored orange as the sun sets. "Hey, seungyoun."
Seungyoun looked at his friend, his peaceful smile dropping when he saw his worried friend's face.
"I'm sorry." and for the first time they went here, seungwoo looked straight in his eyes.
Is that guilt seungyoun sees? He wasn't sure.
"what for?" seungyoun asked, looking back at the ocean.
"well, you know....for things." seungwoo shrugs and seungyoun nudged him playfully. "don't go all soft on me now." he said standing up, kicking sand in his friends face.
Seungwoo was left shock and coughing, thankfully it didn't reach to his eyes, how could seungyoun kick sand in his pretty face? There's no way he was gonna let him get away with it.
Seungyoun ran away when he saw murder in his friend's eyes.
"CHO SEUNGYOUN!" he yelled, chasing his friend, and because he was physically more fit than seungyoun it wasn't long before he caught up and tried to throw his friend to the water. Seungyoun screamed and got away, pushing his friend to the water instead, it wasn't that easy, seungwoo resisted and this time around successfully getting his friend wet.
They played in the water for a while as the night sky looks down on them. Millions of stars twinkling above them.
After their fun they decide to go home.
Seungwoo had already finished showering, seungyoun was about to finish too, until he turned the shower off and heard faint yelling from outside the bathroom. He dried himself and wore a plain white tshirt and red sweatpants.
He was about to leave the bathroom but he recognised the voice he was hearing earlier. Seungwoo.
He opened the door and he saw seungwoo on his phone.
"is everything okay? I can hear you yelling from the bathroom." seungyoun asked with worry.
"don't call me again." seungwoo told the person on the other end of the line, ending their phone call.
"I need to go out for a bit." was all seungwoo said before getting his coat and rushing outside their room.
Was something wrong?
Seungyoun was left alone with his mind full of questions.
