I decided I needed to explain how Magnus and the MCU's Thor can exist in the same universe. Basically, I don't remember which book it was, but one of the gods mentioned that they will only exist as long as humankind remembers them. When the Asgardians came to Earth, they cemented themselves in the minds of the Vikings, and when they left, the Norse gods were willed into existence, mirroring the Asgardians.
