" From the hand written will of your husband, this house we are in,is the company's possession,as well as the two cars and he also stated that all the money in his account should be given to the government for orphanage"

These final words of lawyer Monet kept on ringing in Ava's brain, she had  been given just two days to vacate the house only with her personal belongings and that of Lola, now she had two problems

" How would I break this news to Lola, should I tell her we are traveling, but to where? Or should I tell her the truth" these thoughts kept on ringing in Ava's brain till she heard a knock on the door

" Come in,the door is not locked" Ava said and she was surprised to see Lola

" Good afternoon mum" Lola greeted

" Good afternoon baby, you seem to arrive earlier than expected" Ava asked trying to act strong

" Mum, today is a Friday, or have you suddenly forgotten" Lola asked

" Oh oh oh"Ava said recovering her brain

" Mum, forget" Lola said now sitting beside Ava " how is your leg" she said gently caressing the leg

" I'm a bit relieved but I still feel some pain" Ava said;

She had long forgotten about her leg; she had been placed on two large blood drips throughout the night before yesterday and came home this morning to hear the will of Jerome her late husband from lawyer Monet. The thought of the will far outweighed the thought of the leg.

" So, how was your school? " Ava asked again trying to perform her daily routine.

" School was fine but mum, you look worried" Lola said with a bit of some concern.

" Oh me, I'm really tired, you know receiving lot of blood drips after long hours of surgery is energy draining" Ava said.

" Okay I understand" lola said nodding her head.

" Maybe I leave you to get some rest while I retire to my study to do my assignment and have some siesta" Lola concluded rising up.

" Okay, that's good" Ava said.

She saw Lola climbed the stairs and returned to her pool of thought.

As she was thinking, lines of tears escaped from her eyes. Unfortunately Lola came down the stairs to pick something and she saw Ava crying.

" Mom what's the matter" Lola said as she rushed to Ava

" It's nothing" Ava said cleaning her eyes but not quick enough

" But mom, you are crying" Lola said now sitting beside Ava " or what are you trying to hide from me" she waited eagerly for a reply then continued " if it is about daddy, my CRS teacher said people come and go, so he has done his path and gone, and if it is about his properties or anything he left for me, he already told me that I should not depend on it that it is not for me" Lola said and Ava was shocked

But she felt relieved that Lola already have a clue to why she was crying
" Baby, I want to tell you something" Ava said

" And what can that be" Lola said impatiently

" Baby, your dad said that, we shouldn't leave in this house again once he's dead" Ava said the best way she determined was euphemisal

" So mum where are we going to be living, or are we going to be living on the street just as our social studies teacher said" Lola asked curious

" Certainly, that's not going to happen, we are going to live in an exclusive house just that it won't be as richly laid out as this one" Ava said still thinking if to tell the truth that they have no where to live

" Ok mom ,so when are we leaving, next month or when" Lola added

" No_ _ _ ooo, we are to be leaving tomorrow or next tomorrow unfailingly" Ava said

" Mum why the sudden rush" Lola said now standing up" never mind, so where are we going to live"lola asked ignorantly now walking to the fridge, she picked a bottle of juice and poured it into the champagne flute and took a sip. Ava's eyes followed the cup up and down and she reasoned that it was only a period of hours for Lola to say goodbye to those things.

And it was Jerome' s fault after all , why won't he let her work in the first place and why would he have to give all his money to the orphanage. Everything they posses in that house was the company's, even the simplest plastic cup. And now that he is dead, all his money and the company's possession gone for good.

Ava didn't notice when Lola left, she looked up and found an empty cup on the bar side, she didn't know what was wrong with Lola, she had gone so rude since the day she was raped. Ava found out that Lola was recently having mood swings but she didn't want to talk about it, any time she calls her for discussion, she is either busy with her homework or writing some sort of essays

The next morning, Lola came downstairs with her backpack for school and she was handling a travelling bag and another small bag which a fashion show was hanging out of it. As she was tiptoeing down the stairs, she missed step and fell loudly to the floor making a loud noise forgetting the decorum she was trying to maintain, the noise attracted Ava who was also packing some of her clothes into a cellophane bag, she ran out and found Lola lying on the floor writhing in pain.

" Lola what happened?" Ava asked impatiently
" I injured my ankle" Lola said almost crying
" Ok now let me get a chair for you to sit" Ava said as she dashed off to the balcony to get a chair and she came back few seconds later and helped Lola to the chair

" So where were you going" Ava asked as she rubbed Lola's ankle

" I'm finding my way" Lola said wearing a blank look on her pretty face

" Your way to where?" Ava asked inquisitively

" Why did you need to ask, at least you said,we are to be leaving today or tomorrow" Lola asked

" So where are you going" Ava asked

" Anywhere possible" Lola said

" Oh my God,Lola what is wrong with you?" Ava paused " ok let's assume you left now you are going to the orphanage_ _ _ right
