“We need to do something.”
Shadow dude started, as Ce drifted off to sleep.
"What can we do though?"
I reminded them, then made sure to check to see if Ce was doing alright. Since she hadn't said anything for a while, I want to see if she was okay.
“I don’t know, any ideas?”
Shadow dude asked, hunting for ideas.
"Shouldn't we wait for big sis to get back, before we do anything."
Tyler's voice popped into the conversation, and I nodded in agreement.
“Yeah, that makes sense, but when comes to my master I just can’t help but worry.”
Shadow dude decided, causing my to sigh inwardly at his protectiveness.
"For now, why don't we go somewhere quieter?"
I suggested, knowing that we weren't getting anywhere with the conversation. Not wanting to wake up Ce with the noise, and on the verge of getting a headache.
“Alright, how about to our room at the inn?”
Shadow dude asked us, but I just gave him a look saying that I didn't care.
“I like that idea! Can I play with Cece?”
Tyler popped into the conversation again, as I tried tuning out of the conversation.
"Yeah, once I'm done talking to Shadow Dude."
I answered quickly, wanting to hurry to the inn for peace.
“Yay, I get to play with Cece!”
Tyler celebrated loudly, as we made it into their room.
“Yes, my master is the princess.”
Shadow dude confirmed my suspicions, as Tyler laid down on what I assume was the only bed and got comfortable.
"Wasn't what I wanted to talk about Shadow Dude, but thanks for the confirmation."
I told him with a short huff, as I heard Tyler sleeping quietly. The kid must've exhausted himself earlier, with all of that yelling.
“Shut it I know I was just worried, you wanted to talk about the queen’s tears collection.”
He admitted, before letting me know that he heard me earlier.
"So you did hear me the first time."
I commented, raising an eyebrow slightly.
“Yes I did but anything that has to do with master takes the most priority.”
He told me, reminding me of what went on in the old restaurant.
"Just wanted to know if you knew that she can't hear the name of the Queen's Tears."
I started to tell him, even though I had a feeling that he already knew.
“Since she has royal blood she would be the next in line to take it.”
He thought out loud, and I nodded before continuing.
"You do know that she sold most of the collection right?"
“I didn’t know that, but she doesn’t have a use for it right now she can always go and steal them back.”
He started to answer, as he made a simple but effective plan to get them back when she needs them.
"True."
I agreed, interrupting him briefly before allowing him to finish.
“So it’s not anything I'm too worried about.”
"Alright, and I have another question. About where Cecelia will go."
I started again, not wanting to leave Ce in a dangerous place.
“I’m not really sure what you mean by that.”
He interrupted, making me resist the urge to roll my eyes before continuing.
"I just want to make sure she's in safe hands. She is my master after all."
“Yeah she's in good hands. She probably doesn’t know she thinks as Tyler as a son.”
Shadow dude answered, as I nodded.
"Well Ce's rough past, has caused her to develop trust issues."
I warned him, not before checking to see if Ce was still asleep. I wanted him to tell the princess this as soon as possible, so that they can help Ce open up.
"This world can be pretty harsh, my master was kicked out of her home where she was kept as an animal. She wasn’t even given clothes."
He interrupted yet again to give me his two cents, before letting me continue talking.
"Ce wasn't born blind, it was her parents that did that to her."
“She should be here soon, it’s noon already.”
Shadow dude told me, once I had finished.
"Right, do have a place I can lay down. Ce fell asleep while we were talking."
I nodded, feeling drained from being in control for so long. I definitely needed to get used to doing this, especially if I want to talk to Shadow dude more often.
“You could just lay down on the bed with Tyler, I’m sure he wouldn’t mind.”
He directed me towards the bed, moving to allow me space to move.
"Alright, see you after the next takeover."
Ty said his farewell, before laying down next to Tyler.
“Sure Ty.”
Shadow acknowledged, nodding once before putting Cecelia back in control of her body.
