Chapter 3: The Gamble
<<Timeskip to end of school day: (Y/N) POV>>
One month later...
(Y/N): It's been a month in this school. I've gambled and won so much, that I was waiting for a challenge. But I have to find a way to hang out with Midari today without Yumeko suspecting anything. I think she has been catching on but I convinced her that I've been Gambeling. Aw man. This sucks. Now I wanna gamble. Midari would probably forgive me. It's just for today.
Then I see Yumeko with Mary and Ryota at a table talking. I run up to them.
(Y/N): "Hey Guys! What are y'all doing right now?"
Yumeko: "Oh! Hello Brother!" *gets up and hugs me* "We were just talking about where to gamble. Wanna join us?" *Lets go and claps hands*
Mary: "I was thinking that we could go somewhere that doesn't involve Gambeling."
(Y/N): "Sure. I'd like to gamble!" Sorry Midari. Looks like I can't help myself in gambles.
Then some big dude walks up to me and my friends.
Jun: "Hey! New Guy! Name's Jun. I've heard you're pretty good. But you haven't gambled with the likes of me yet. Wanna gamble?"
I nod excitedly while Mary sucked her teeth at Jun and Yumeko hummed.
<<Timeskip to blackjack match: 3rd POV>>
It was a match between (Y/N) and Jun Kiwatari in a simple game of blackjack.
Jun: "So, New guy. Are you familiar with Blackjack?" He says with a little bit of cockiness.
(Y/N): "I don't know. Do you know what losing is?"
He was taken back by my comment as well as the other students around us.
(Y/N): "Wait. Hold that thought. Yumeko!" I called out to her. Jun looked at me with hatred and annoyance as I cutted him off.
She comes to my side and looks joyful like usual.
Yumeko: "Yes (N/N)?"
(Y/N): "Wasn't this the dude that almost made you strip?"
The whole crowd gasped. "Why does it matter, (N/N)!??!!?" Jun says my nickname with mockery. Then he burst out laughing at his joke and at my nickname. Some people laughed also.
Yumeko: "Why, yes. He is the guy. What about it?"
(Y/N): "Okay then. This will be more interesting."
Me and the wanna-be Reiner stare into each other's eyes with hatred but spirit.
Midari POV
Why is (Y/N) taking so long? Wait, why do I see a lot of people circling in the courtyard around a table? Wonder what's that about.
