Natsuki POV

I reach down into my bag searching for my poem while feeling extremely nervous. I look over at MC and find my notebook, as I slowly pull it out he also looks at me. We lock eyes and I open my notebook. We walk closer and he says, "Here you go", "thank you" I say. I then give him mine and he begins reading.

Crickets can leap

Owls can seek

Cheetahs can run

Eagles can fly

People can try

But that's about it

He reads my poem as I read his and, to my surprise, it's actually good. Damnit, I was supposed to see his shitty poem and then show him how a real pro does it. "Ugggg, why do you have to make it so hard to impress you" I say. I then blush as red as a tomato as I just realized what I just said."Natsuki, you're trying to impress me...?" He says as I blush even harder. Then my mind freaks. I shut down and do the only thing I can do RUN. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!" I scream loudly as I run out of the classroom.

MC POV

Ok then..... That just happened. Did Natsuki say she was trying to impress me? It's crazy, I mean, We met only a week ago. But, the thing is, I was trying to impress her too. Monika walks up to me. "What did you say to Natsuki?" she asks in a firm but sweet tone. "I didn't say anything, she told me tha...~~~nevermind she'll be ok right?" I say, stuttering. Monika replies, "Oh, yeah she'll be ok" I sigh of relief as I thought that Natsuki would never talk to me again.

I walk over to the girls bathroom, half expecting to hear her cursing at me or something. As I get over there I hear something I was not expecting to hear.

"why..why does he care so much..."

"even my own da--~~sniffle~~--d doesn't appreciate me"

"he only beats me...."

I stop dead in my tracks, listening to what Natsuki just said. At that moment I wanted to run in and give her a hug. But then I heard something absolutely horrible. Clank--~~Like the sound of metal falling down and hitting the floor, something metal. Like a knife. and then more crying, and crying, and crying. I walked back into the club, almost crying. And I looked at Monika. She asked, "Is she Ok? How is she doing? Why did you take so long?" I only responded with a bleak, "yeah, she's fine."

After the club ended I went out to walk home, barely speaking to Sayori. I walked Sayori to her house but when we got there she looked at me and said, "MC, what's wrong?". Damnit, I should've been more careful, but then again, Sayori can read me like a book. "Listen, nothings wrong okay Sayori" I say, trying to sound as truthful and loyal as possible.

After I got home, I thought about what I heard Natsuki doing, and how her dad might be abusing her. If she was cutting herself I'm gonna stop it. At all costs
