Gouenji Shuuya, formerly known three years ago as the Holy Emperor, Ishido Shuuji, made his way to the soccer field of Inazuma High.

Gouenji, despite his past as the Holy Emperor, had become the coach for Inazuma High's soccer team.

When the light blonde-haired man arrived at the soccer field, he found most of the team surrounding someone, all of them fixated on the person at the center of the group. The person turned his head and looked at Gouenji. He smiled at the former emperor.

Gouenji's eyes widened slightly.

Where has he been? When did he get back? What's going on here? Many questions began swirling around in the coach's head as he stepped onto the field, making his way over to his team and the focus of his questions, Matsukaze Tenma.

Gouenji stopped in front of the brunet. Tenma had changed a bit in the last three years he had been gone. He had gotten taller, and his hair was longer and didn't seem as forced as it used to be. His stormy gray eyes held much wisdom and knowledge that it even sent shivers down the stoic coach's spine.

"Hello, Gouenji-san." Tenma greeted the coach with a smile, which also seemed more natural.

"Matsukaze-kun... When did you get back?" Gouenji asked.

"Just this morning."

"I see. Matsukaze-kun, I need to talk to you later after practice. You are joining the team, right?"

"Yep!" Tenma smiled.

This got everyone excited.

"Matsukaze-kun, I'm curious to see if you've improved in the three years you've been gone." Gouenji said with a smile.

"Yes, sir." Tenma said, then turned to his teammates. "One of these days, I'll tell you all about it, as the circumstances prevented me from letting me tell you, Endou-san, Kidou-san, and my friends where I went three years ago."

"I hope that day comes soon."

Tenma smiled at Gouenji and nodded.

After practice, Tenma handed in his club application form, then went with Gouenji to Teikoku's soccer building.
Gouenji had told Tenma that he had to meet with Endou and Kidou and decided that since Tenma had returned, he should come too, if he wanted.

Tenma agreed, since he hadn't seen his two former coaches in three years.

Gouenji and Tenma entered the soccer building of Teikoku. They made their way to the room where the Raimon team had first met the Resistance.
Endou Mamoru and Kidou Yuuto were there, discussing something. Gouenji cleared his throat to get their attention. They were too engrossed in their work to hear him. Tenma chuckled softly at the failed attempt.
"Still as busy as ever, I see." Tenma said, his voice as clear as day.
Endou and Kidou's heads snapped up and turned to look at Tenma when they heard his voice, their eyes wide in surprise.
Tenma smiled.

"Tenma-kun..." Endou said, still clearly surprised. "When did you get back?"

Kidou had already regained his composure as if nothing happened. Classic Kidou.
