His coaches and his friends stood there, gaping.
The soccer ball was in the back of the net, smoking from the friction of spinning against the net.
But Tenma had not even moved from the spot he first stood.
Neither had his coaches for that matter, even though they had been ready for Tenma.
Kidou, Endou, and Gouenji looked at the still smoking ball in the goal, then back at Tenma. One of Tenma's friends, Kariya Masaki, had fallen onto his behind in shock. His brownish-gold eyes were as wide as saucers, and his mouth was open as if he was trying to say something.
Needless to say, everyone was shocked, even the normally calm and stoic Tsurugi.
A few minutes earlier...
Gouenji, Kidou, and Endou looked at Tenma, ready to stop anything the sixteen-year-old threw at them. Tenma smiled at them.
He took a step forward and...
Kicked the soccer ball at his feet.
Before anyone realized it, it had passed Gouenji, Kidou, and Endou.
To everyone else except Tenma, it looked like the ball had faded away until it landed in the goal. Soon, everyone realized that the ball was no longer at Tenma's feet but was in the goal.Present time...
"How... How did you get so strong?" Shindou asked.
Tenma hadn't used his Keshin. He hadn't used his Mixi Max or his Soul. He hadn't even used his hissatsu techniques.
It was all purely strength.
"I trained." Tenma simply said, not wanting to reveal anything else until the meeting.
"Even with all the training we've done these past three years, we're not even close to that strong." Kirino said. "And you say you trained to get this strong?"
"Yeah." Tenma said. "I trained."
"That must have been some training you went through." Shinsuke said.
"Yeah, it was. And I'm still continuing it, since it works for me." Tenma smiled.
Suddenly, Endou speaks up.
"Were you holding back?" He asked.
Everyone looked at him.
"Was I? I'm not sure." Tenma dodged the question his former coach asked.
Everyone looked at Tenma, only to see him smile and walk over to the goal to retrieve his ball. He picked it up and looked at his coaches and friends.
"Oh!" Sangoku's eyes widened. "Guys, do you remember the hissatsu technique Tenma used back at Inazuma High?"
"Yeah, what of it?" Kurama asked.
"Well, the thing is, Tenma's Cyclone Barrage was weaker than the normal shoot he did just now. Like way weaker. But it was still strong enough for me to think, "I can't stop that. There's no way.'."
