5: The Tunnel

"-ung? Taehyung! Wake up!"

I groaned and turned around away from the voice, snuggling my face into my pillo-

Wait. This doesn't feel like my pillow.

I raised my hand and felt along the "pillow" in confusion, jolting up when I only felt the outline of sharp cold pieces of... ice?

I looked around and saw Jungkook wearing my fleece, doe eyes shining at me.

"I was trying to wake you up for five minutes. I'm hungry, Tae! I found fruit but it's all frozen up and I don't know what to do!" He babbled on as I zoned out into his eyes that were filled with the galaxy.

"Tae? Are you even listening?"

I yet again snap out of my trance and look up, getting off the bags.

"Where did you say the fruit was?"

I scratched my head and ruffled my hair in hope to look presentable.

"It's over there, there's desserts as well!"

I walked over to where he pointed to and saw bags of frozen fruit and boxes of desserts.

"Ok, I'll try my best,"

Grabbing everything I could fit in my arms, I walked over to Kook before opening all the containers.

"Koo? Do me a favour, yeah? Can you have a look around here? I remember when Namjoon hid his secret emergency supplies in here for the Purge when Jin hyung took him to see the movie,"

I watched as Kook stood up, nodding and flashing me his bunny smile before hopping away going around corners and out of my sight.

I sighed and grinned, rolling my eyes at his childishness.

Who makes a freezer this big? Only Namjoon hyung would panic about "emergency space for other refugees".

"TAE! I FOUND SOMETHING!"

I look up from my unpacking then walk over to where I heard Jungkook's voice.

"Yeah? What is it?"

I halted when I saw that Kook was on his hands and knees, looking down a large hole in the ground.

I walked over and stares down, seeing an eternal darkness that seemed to go down a far way.

When I ducked my head, I saw a light at the end of the "corridor" and grinned.

Thanks, Jin hyung. Guess you were right.

"Koo, I think you just found us the way out of here,"
