Merlin: Arthur Finds Out

Chapter 4: Freya's Return

A/N: I'm not sure if Merlin ever told Lancelot about Freya but in this story he didn't

It had been 6 weeks since Merlin had become a knight of Camelot. George had become Arthur's new man-servant, Merlin had written to his mother to tell her the exciting news. She wrote back excited for him but at the same time saying that she was still worried about him. Gaius was so proud of Merlin. It was now getting into the cooler season.

It was pouring rain. Merlin, Lancelot and Arthur were on patrol along the eastern boarders. They were riding along the path when ahead of they saw someone walking towards them however not very clearly.

When they got over to the person Merlin knew exactly who it was but the other two men had no idea. The person was a woman, she had long wet messy black hair, wore a wet purple dress (the one she was wearing when she passed away), she also had bare feet and looked pale like a ghost, cold, skinny. She also had scratches, bruises and looked unwell like she was about to faint.

"Freya?" Merlin questioned his voice cracking, the other two men looked at each other confused

"Hello Merlin." She said

Merlin quickly got off and walked quickly to her when he got over to her they hugged and Merlin picked her up by the waist and spun her around.

"Freya I missed you so much." Merlin said not being able to hold back his tears.

"I missed you too." Freya said quietly

"You're so cold." Merlin said taking off the red cape and wrapping it around her

"Merlin I don't feel so well." She said

then before he could say anything she fainted, limp in her arms. Arthur and Lancelot both got off their horses and went over to where Merlin and the girl was.

"Freya, Freya!" Merlin said crying harder

"Merlin what's going on? Who is she?" Lancelot asked

Her name's Freya. Please can we just get her back to Camelot. To Gaius." Merlin said

"Uh, Yeah. Of course." Arthur said

Arthur then took Freya from Merlin, picked the unconscious girl up, they all got on to their horses and rode back to Camelot.

When they got back to Camelot. They got off of their horses, Merlin took unconscious Freya still wrapped in a red cape from Arthur and went quickly to Gaius's chambers; Arthur and Lancelot directly behind.

Once he was at Gaius's he didn't open it, he kicked it open. Gaius was making medicine for a patient when this happened.

"Merlin!" Gaius said still holding the things that he was using as they went inside then Gaius saw that Merlin was holding a young lady "who's this?" Gaius asked setting down what he had been holding

"Her name's Freya. She's extremely cold, wet and she fainted." Merlin said

"Quickly on the bed." Gaius said then Merlin brought her over to the main floor bed and laid her gently down

"I need blankets, hot water and Arthur could you ask Gwen if she could lend Freya a dress and undergarments to wear when she wakes up." Gaius said as he started his work

Arthur nodded then left the room to go find Gwen; Lancelot found a large bowl and went to fill it up. Merlin went grabbed his blankets from his bedroom and brought them down.

"Do I know her from somewhere?" Gaius asked

"Yeah, she's the Druid girl that was cursed." Merlin said
