Prologue

Ryan:

I look around after hearing a slight crack of a branch being stepped on. I know there's one here, I can feel it. I quickly pull my slick red hair into a ponytail and take my gun out of my boot aiming where I had heard the noise. Come on. I hear a low growl before a pure white wolf lundges at me. I quickly roll on the ground, the wolf only missing me by a few inches. I aim my gun at it once it turns around. I can see fear flash in it's eyes but it's gone as quick as it came. The wolf stood as if it had power, so I know she has a mate. I grin at her and pull the trigger the bullet hitting her in her leg. She let out a loud whimper before falling to the ground.

With an evil grin I walked up to her. "Awee poor baby where's your mate." I said with a smirk. She whimpered once more before she howled. Bad doggy. I slapped her on her nose which made her snarl at me but I didn't give a shit. Knowing other wolves would come soon, I snatched one of my arrows out of my bag on my back. I stabbed it into her right shoulder making her yelp in pain. I heard another howl, that sounded really close. I turned around ready to run but came face to face with a grey wolf. I gasp and stumbled back. I looked around to see more wolves approaching. I turned around a made a run for it.

I could hear the sound of their paws hitting the dirt as I ran. Knowing they were gaining on me I picked up my speed, jumping and ducking under branches. As I ran twigs from the trees hitting me in my face scratching me. I was about to jump over  a branch when I felt teeth sink into my right leg. I screamed in pain and fell to the ground. Seeing that it was a brown wolf that had bitten me I slapped its nose as hard as I could. It's eyes grew darker and I glared at it. I kicked it nose and grabbed one of my arrows shoving it into his shoulder before jumping up and running once more.

I looked around looking for a tree or something I could climb. I found a tree with low branches and sprinted to it. I put my left foot on the lowest branch and hoisted myself up careful not to hurt my injured leg. Once I thought I was high enough I grabbed my bow and arrows aiming at the wolf under me trying to climb the tree. I grin and aim the arrow at its head. It's eyes glowing with rage, it ran into the tree making it shake. I aimed once more and released the arrow only for it to miss as the wolf hit the tree again. I groaned, but gasped as I heard a loud Crack.

The branch I was sitting on cracked and I quickly grabbed another branch before that one broke and fell. I was dangling from the branch trying to push myself up but scream in pain as I feel another bite in the same place the last one was in. The pain is unbarable making me become weak. Letting go of the branch, I drop to the ground with a Thud, hitting my head hard on the ground. My vision became blurry as I heard a loud howl.

Shit the Alpha. I'm in big trouble. My head starting to spin as a dark, shimmery, black HUGE wolf walks up to me, And says something I never thought I would hear in my life.

"Mine"

Then I black out.
