Chapter 25 - Always

Third Person's P.O.V

"Who is Ms Romano's acquittance with?" the doctor asked after he got out from the operating room.

"All of us. She's working with us. She's Zayn Malik's or One Direction's bodyguard. How is she, doctor?" Kyle asked.

The doctor sighed and his face looked really guilty.

"Mr Malik, Mr Styles, Mr Payne, Mr Horan and Mr Tomlinson..." he called their name. "We're sorry. We were unable to save Ms Romano."

"What?!" Zayn yelled. "What the hell are you talking about?!"

"I'm very sorry to say this, but Ms Romano has passed away."

"No! This cannot be! I don't believe it!" Zayn yelled.

"I'm really sorry. We tried our best to save her, but she was seriously injured. There is nothing we can do anymore." the doctor explained.

"Nat..." Niall cried.

"No! You're lying! She's not dead! She won't leave me!" Zayn yelled.

"I'm sorry, Mr Malik. I hope you all are strong enough to handle this loss."

"Don't you dare say that!" Zayn punched the doctor in the face.

"Sir!" James and David pull Zayn away from the doctor.

"She's not dead! She can't leave me! I know you're lying to me!" Zayn shouted.

"Calm down, sir!"

"Natalie..." Harry, Niall, Liam and Louis also cried.

"I'm sorry, Natalie..." Liam said, sobbing.

"No. S-she won't leave me. I don't want to lose her again." Zayn started to cry. He threw the flowerpot on the table to the wall, letting out his anger. "Natalie, why? Why did you leave me?"

"Natalie?" Mary finally arrived at the hospital an hour later.

"Who are you?" Mark asked as he stopped her.

"I'm Natalie's best friend. She lives with me. Now where is she?! I mean, how is she doing?!"

They all didn't answer and kept looking down at the floor.

"No." Mary finally understood the situation. "Natalie! No!" She tried to run to the operating room, but Mark grabbed her waist and pulled her away. "Let go of me!" she screamed.

"Calm down, miss!"

"Let me go!" she pushed him away.

"It's all your fault!" she directed the words to One Direction. "You all treat her like trash! You guys are cruel to her! What has she done to all of you?!" she asked, crying.

"Please calm down." Mark said.

"She protects you more than her own life. She never ceases to love you, especially you, MR MALIK!"

Zayn looked up at her.

"She loves you so much. You're her first love! Even though you hurt her, she never stopped loving you and always protected you!"

"What do you mean?" Zayn asked as he stood up.

She looked away, but Zayn grabbed her chin and turn her face and now he looked deeply into her eyes. "I'll ask you one more time. What do you mean by that?"

"Okay fine!" she pushed his hand away from her chin. "For 5 months, she kept you safe. She kept a close eye on you to ensure your safety."

"So she's been with us all this time?" Harry asked.
