Before the elephant wrecked the town, Hisaki was simply getting ready to sleep her weekend away. Upon waking up that day, she could feel that something would literally trample upon her 'slacking off on weekends'. It was as if the universe was sending a warning of some sort. But the image of her wrapped under numerous piles of blankets while watching dramas and slurping on some instant noodles completely erased that unpleasant vibe she had buzzing at the back of her head. Surely, she didn't expect to be suddenly dragged into a case. She loves solving cases no doubt, just not this time.

Sirens blared around as more police officers swarmed the place of the scene. Guns were raised towards the main entrance of the flat. It was reported that a notorious criminal took hostage of a young rising star. He had been creating havoc for the past few months, giving the City of London Police a pain in the head. Surprisingly he got away with it every time. Obviously, this was a heavy and serious criminal case, so why on earth would they drag Hisaki unto this, especially on a Friday?

"Tell me why am I here again," Hisaki asked the Inspector, an eyebrow raised. She took out a hair band and began tying her long brown hair into a high ponytail. "I don't remember being a part of the task force. You even gave me a gun and a vest. Is this even legal Inspector?"

"Sorry, Irene, you were probably on the way home to take some quality rest."

You got that right. Hisaki thought, nervously laughing.

"I would not have called you if I had known that you weren't capable enough to handle yourself," the inspector continued and placed her hand on the teen's shoulder. The reassuring gesture made Hisaki's shoulders relax a bit. "but, if something were to happen to you-I would take full responsibility for it. For now, please trust me in trusting you."

Inspector Amelia wore a perplexed expression but was soon greatly masked with a stoic face. She studied the scene with calculating eyes. No one had been moving away from their position since they arrived.

The once orange sky slowly turned dark as they kept on waiting for the criminal to leave the apartment building. How long had they been standing there?

Breaking the stillness of the air, the door burst open. The young rising star came out with her hands raised in the air. Buckets of tears streamed down her cheeks as the target pushed the gun to the back of her head. Hisaki snapped into her senses and took a moment to measure the man's movements. One particular fact that she noticed was that the suspect had dark circles under his bloodshot eyes. His clothes were disheveled and dirty, with his hands shaky and eyes erratic.

"He must be on some kind of drugs," Hisaki whispered to Inspector Amelia. "It'll be quite easy to disarm him."

Inspector Amelia nodded in reply as she slowly moved forward, her hands up in the air. "Mr. Jones if you would please-"

"Don't! Don't come any closer," Mr. Jones shouted with a hint of warning in his voice. His hazy eyes darted from one police officer to another and his chapped lips began to quiver. Then, he started crying as well. "I don't want to shoot my daughter, please."

What did he say? Daughter...? Hisaki exclaimed in her head. She tried to remember what she had read of the young star's profile. Her name... It was Eva Holmes, but then again it is just a stage name. Evian Jones is her real name.

"Da, please!" Eva pleaded, sobbing.

"Evian, honey, Da is very sorry." Mr. Jones' eyes softened then hardened as he glared at the police. "The bloody police killed your mother! Especially this inspector! I don't want them to take you too darling." He took his daughter by the collar of her shirt and wrapped his arm around her neck. The gun now pointed at the side of her head. "I'M WARNING YOU STAY BACK! I'm just taking my daughter away from murderers!"
