Secrets pt.3 (Also the Epilouge)

Previously on Secrets: 

"Adeline Nguyen, I give my wannabe-drummer-promise, the highest form of a promise, that I like you. Not only do I like you, but I want to be with you. A lot, if I'm being honest."

"I want that too."

He nods before crawling closer to me, until we're side by side in my bed. He tangles his fingers into mine before kissing me softly.

Soft...
That's what the kiss is.

Four months later...(Previously seen on Milk and Cookies)

I can't help but to moan into the kiss when picks me up to sit my small body onto the counter.

The kiss deepens to the point that I feel as if we're one, never to be separated again. My hands clutch both sides of his face, tracing his jawline. That damn jawline. His tongue licks between my lips, begging for an entrance. I open my mouth just enough to allow his tongue to enter.

"What does a kiss like that mean?" I ask out loud, more to myself than him.

When I slide off of the counter, the last two cookies are gone and in his mouth.

"It means that we're out of cookies, so there's no need for your milk."

I glare in good spirits. He won this round, and he knows it.

And Here's where it all comes together...

Jackson's POV

I won and she knows it. 

We snuggle back onto the couch and finish The Sound of Music, although I must admit, I am staring at her more. 

Well...at least until she glares at me for not watching the movie at all. 

"This movie ends horribly!" I groan at the ending credits. 

She giggles at my visible frustration, "What!? How though?"

"They live in the mountains forever? I would hate that!" 

Adeline's cute giggles turn into snorts and cackles, "You idiot!"

"You mean to tell me that YOU would live in the mountains and be happy!?" 

She waits until her laughter dies down before answering me, "They're crossing the mountains, dummy!" 

...

"Whatever"

We stare at each other silently until falling into another fit of laughter.

She snuggles herself into me before cheekily saying, "You would've known that if you weren't watching me the whole time." 

I kiss her cheek, "I can't help that you're attractive, baby." 

She blushes deeply. Adeline still does that everytime I call her "baby". Even if it's been four months since we first confessed our feelings. 

Her phone vibrates. 

"Awww Jackson--"

I raise my eyebrows. 

She smiles and rolls her eyes, "--baby. Baby, Look! It's Britney and Valerie!!! They're soooo cute together." 

She shows me the picture of them on her phone. "I really didn't see that coming for Val. She seemed to hate Britney Andrews for years. Now she's dating the Royalty she claimed to dislike so much." 

She winks at me, "Love is a mysterious thing." 

I press my lips to hers quickly, "it sure is."
