Chapter 3

Time passed by quickly and now they had been living in a the small apartment together for around two years. Tina now was twenty, while Jay was twenty one. They lived peacefully and happily together and everything was going well. Until that one day.

Jay was at work, while Tina was taking a nap. It was almost six o'clock when Tina suddenly woke up by a strange smell. She looked around the bedroom and her eyes caught smoke coming from the room's door. Tina immediately got up from her bed scared.

She didn't know what to do, but soon enough Tina chose to open the door trying to get out from the house and afterwards from the building. The good thing was that the fire was mostly placed in a particular apartment where the accident occurred. But the smell of the whole building was hamful that could make you unconscious at any moment.

Tina took off her hoddie because of the heat and to place it in front of her face, not to breathe the whole smoke. Fortunately she got out from the back door because it was further away from the fire than the main one. People were surrounding the whole building and firefighers could be seen everywhere.

"Miss, are you okay?" Someone asked her.

But Tina was in shock. She just kept on walking down the front of the building. Soon the people from the ambulance came to her direction. But her eyes were focused on a particular person that could be seen getting inside the building despite people's calls.

"Jay!" She called. It was him who got inside. But he didn't hear her.

"Miss calm down and come with us." She ignored them.

"No! He is inside! I need to get him!" Tina said.

But they didn't let her. To stop her from protesting, they put her unconscious by using an injection.

Around half past seven, Tina woke up. She was laying on a bed with a brething mask on her mouth. Taking it off, Tina set on the bed while looking around. It was a hospital room where other people resting on beds could be seen. Tina looked everywhere for Jay but he was nowhere to be seen. Right after a nurse came towards her to check on her condition.

"Hello miss, there was an arson accident in your building and we brought you here. Do you feel okay?" The nurse said.

"I'm fine. Where is Jay?" Tina asked impatient.

"I'm sorry miss, but no one with the name Jay was brought here." The nurse answered.

"No that's impossible he was there!" Tina protested.

"Miss, please calm down." The nurse said.

Tina couldn't handle it anymore. She went looking for Jay in every bed of the room, but he was not there. Afterwards she she fell to the ground crying uncontrollably.

"He must be here. Nurse please check his name again." Tina begged the nurse.

But fate wasn't on Tina's side. She was alone again. Tina couldn't hold herself anymore, so she left her intire self get lost to nothing.

The next page was waiting for her. Time for switching different hospital rooms one after the other, having no purpose in life was in line.
