Marlie's POV

I refused to meet his eyes. He did this to me and I can remember that day like it was yesterday.

"You need to go to the doctor." He said sternly.

"No. I'm not going anywhere with you." I said looking out the small window that keeps me connected to the world.

"Look this isn't going to work unless we cooperate." He said walking further into the room.

"You should've thought about that before you took me from my life. My friends and family. It's all gone." I nearly whispered.

"You dont understand and you probably won't for a while. Just go to the doctor." He said more gentle.

"Why should I trust you?" I asked looking at him.

"Because I could've hurt you or the baby but I didn't. I mean you no harm." He said leaning against the wall. He made a point.

"Fine I will go but only for the baby." I said standing up and walking past him.

"Follow me or you'll get lost." He said grabbing my arm. We walked down the hallway before making it to an elevator. I walked in first before he followed me in. He pressed 1 and we were off. We both didn't trust each other and the tension was strong. The elevator stopped and we stepped out into another hallway but this one was brighter. There were windows lining the hall which made it seemed sunny and bright. Definitely didn't match him. He lead us through a kitchen to another door. He opened it to reveal a HUGE garage full of really nice cars.

"Where am I?" He chuckled at my words.

"You will find out soon enough." He said before leading me to a navy blue F150 2019. Who is he? This is really sketchy. He opened the passenger door and I got in carefully. He shut the door behind me and went to the driver's side. The interior was really nice, nicer than anything I have had in a long time. The drive was silent as the trees flew by us. We were deep in the forest before we finally made it to a main road. He followed that road into a town I hadn't been too.

"What town is this?" I asked quietly.

"Luna Selene. It's a community not known by a lot of people and well hidden." He explained as he drove through the town. It was a beautiful town. The stores were mom and pop shops. There were flowers, trees, and clean sidewalks. It was stunning. We soon pull up to a small clinic. He puts it in park and my nerves came back.

"Come on. Let's go." He said getting out. I got out slowly and we approached the building. This is my first doctor visit as if I went to one back home they would've figured it out. The inside of the office was nice and almost homey. He approached the desk and I went to sit in a chair. My hands went to my stomach instantly. It calmed me sometimes. This baby made me smile a lot more than I had in a long time and it wasn't even here yet.

"Marlie Samuels." They called my name and froze. He put his hand on my arm and pulled me up gently. We walk back and go to the usual station where they check vitals and such. Nothing was said except for the instructions she gave. As we finished we head to one of the back corner rooms which was nice and secluded. She left us until the doctor would show up.

"At least it's all normal so far." He mumbled.

"My blood pressure is really high and I have already gained more weight than usual. How is that normal?" I asked upset.

"Look I told you it would be explained but only when it has too. Just trust me when I say it's normal." He snapped. He didn't have to get angry. The room fell silent after that. The tension was back and I hated it. I hated my life right now. I just wanted my old life back.

"Hello Miss. Samuels, I'm Doctor Wellsely. We are just doing an ultra sound today and seeing how far along you are. If you would just lay back and pull up your shirt." She said with a smile.

"I dont want him in here." I said quietly.

"That's not an option." He said standing up.

"You already took my life. Why can't you leave me with this?" I asked with the same tone.

"I dont trust you. I will turn or we can put up a barrier but I'm staying." He said firmly. I sighed as tears rolled down my face.

"Just get it over with." I said as I laid down and rolled up my shirt. The lights went off as it was set up. My body jumped as the gel was put on my stomach.

"Sorry that must be cold." She said gently. We watched the screen as it appeared and I couldnt help but be in awe at the picture in front of me. It was so tiny but it was there and it was beautiful.

"Can you tell the sex of the baby yet?" He asked his eyes not leaving the screen.

"No we have a few more weeks for that. She is in her 9th week. The earliest is 13 weeks." She said gently. I didn't care though because no matter what I knew I loved it.

"Can I have a picture?" I asked gently.

"Of course. I will print two off." She said before doing something or another. All that's focused is that small child on the screen. You can see the head, arms, and legs. It looked big for 13 weeks but that didn't matter. I can't wait to spoil it.

"Can I put my shirt down?" I asked quietly. She smiled.

"Of course. Here wipe of the gel as I go get the pictures." She said handing me a soft tissue. He turned as I cleaned the gel off and I rolled down my shirt.

"Stay here. I'm going to talk to the doctor real quick." He said sternly before leaving. God he never makes any sense. I'm sorry little baby but you got a wacko for a father. That's my fault I suppose. I jumped off the bed and as I approached the door I heard the soft voices.

"Do you know how bad this is, Jack? I'm surprised your mate is okay with this." Dr. Wellsely said upset.

"Its an alpha child. Killing it is not an option. This also means her terms will be shorter." Alpha? Mate? What the hell are they talking about.

"I understand that but she is going to have questions. You can't run from it." She said sternly.

"I'm buying some time. It's hard for them to comprehend. I should've never slept with her in the first place but it's my child and I can't leave it." He said gently. Tears fell and I couldnt listen anymore. What is he hiding? What's an alpha child? My head hurt and I felt dizzy. The room began to spin and all I could see was darkness. Peaceful darkness.
