People told us our entire life that we were dumb for getting married so young. That it would eventually end in divorce.

But by God, do we love proving people wrong.

I can't imagine having a different life. I don't want to. I know that we helped a lot of people and that if I wasn't with Jack, I don't think I'd ever have been truly happy. Though, looking back, I can't remember most of it. But I remember the big stuff and some of the little moments.

Getting married. The honeymoon. Buying a house. Replacing the mailbox and decorating it like from Up. Jack's obsession with weird ties and socks. The day he bought me my first weird tie, which was just a tie full of little cartoon rainbows. Getting our college diplomas. Jack's first huge-ass paycheck. Welcoming our first foster child. Adopting eleven of them.

It was amazing.

Now we have sixteen grandchildren, who we love to pieces.

I really can't imagine another life.

But now I have another big moment to remember.

The first time I finished a book.
