I sat at breakfast with my mother, Lady Irene. Phoenix Drop has been struggling in this war between the gods and goddesses. She's been exhausted every day. This morning she seemed more encouraged.

"You look happier than normal," I said looking at her.

"We have help coming," She said smiling. I raised an eyebrow.

     "Really? Who?" I asked.

"Do you remember one of my old friends, Shad?" My mom asked.

"You mean your ex that you kept in contact with?" I smirked.

"Yes, but I promise we have nothing going on, but he has a son only four years older than you," She said winking.

"What's his full name?" I asked.

"Aaron, Demon of Hatred," She said.

"That's literally my exact opposite," I said.

     "Opposites attract," She said smiling.

"No," I said shaking my head.

"They're coming over and will be staying in our castle. Look decent please," She said to me. I nodded and finished my breakfast. I went upstairs and went into my bedroom. I walked over to my closet and looked threw some different outfits. Eventually I picked out my favorite purple dress.

This was the dress my mother told me made me really look like a goddess

This was the dress my mother told me made me really look like a goddess. I walked downstairs to hear my mom talking to someone. I entered to see her talking to a man who I assumed to be Shad and his son was standing next to him. His son was quite cute. His dark eyes, black hair, and mysterious aura gave me chills. I walked over next to my mom.

"This is my daughter, Aphmau," My mom said smiling at me.

"Nice to meet you," I said shaking Shad's hand.

"You sure are a pretty little one. A lot like your mother. I'm sure you and my son will get along. This is Aaron," He said introducing his son.

"Hey," Aaron said quietly. I smiled at him and stood there while my mom and Shad talked.

"Why don't you show Aaron where he'll be staying," My mom said after a few minutes. I nodded and led Aaron to one of the guest rooms.

"This is where you'll be staying," I said smiling at him.

     "Thanks," He said.

"I'll leave you to get settled in. Let me know if you need anything," I said walking out of the room. I walked back to my own room and sat down on a small sofa I had in my room. I pulled out my laptop and began doing some research on them. Nothing came up. I sighed and turned on YouTube. I sat there and just relaxed until my mom knocked on my door.

"Hey, I'm making an announcement about the new 'visitors' to the kingdom. You need to be with me," She said opening the door. I got up and followed her. My mom made the announcement and it was time for lunch. We all sat down and began talking. Aaron finally began talking. He wasn't too social, but he seemed nice. We talked for quite a while and eventually Aaron and I went to sit in the living room. We talked for a few hours. He was a sweet guy. He didn't open up to me too much, but just a little bit.
