Knocking at the door dragged you from reading your book. You quickly dropped it to the sofa knowing exactly who was at your door. You calmly (and somewhat excitedly) made your way to the door. When you pulled open the door the face you had been waiting to see emerged in front of you and quickly made his way inside pulling you into a tight hug in the process. Chris kicked the door closed with his foot and continued to hold you tight. He pulled away only to grab a hold of your face and look at you. "I love you" You sighed before standing on your tiptoes to kiss him on the lips. In between the kisses you managed to get out the same three words back. You finally pulled away and just stared up at him. "This week has been the longest ever." You sighed resting your forehead against his chest. "You want some coffee?" Chris nodded grabbing a hold of your hand and following you into the kitchen.
