Gabriel's POV
I was getting my gear on in the locker room when someone came in. I tied my shoelaces and looked up to see Tyler in the same assignment uniform I was in. I don't know why he was wearing it when I was the only one going.
"I don't want you to go Gabriel." Tyler looks sympathetic. I give him a light smile before I put on my mask.
"Seriously Tyler I'm gonna be fine. Why are you so worried." I laugh to ease his worry "I'm not going to die." I look at him and then I notice he really does think I'm gonna die.
"Do you know how mom and dad died?" Tyler asks. So this is what this is about. Tyler always seems to use them as a way I can't do things. Like he'll say the wouldn't want you do do that or I can't lose you like them.
"I know how they died. They were killed by the town leaders." I say kind of annoyed and Tyler nods his head.
"But you don't know what town we lived in." I nod my head I was only four "Well that town is the same one Averie lives in. And I'm afraid when you go there someone will recognize you and try to kill you. You look just like dad when he was your age and you also look like Andy and he might also see you or one of are relatives."
I was shocked. We lived in that horrible town. I had more relatives. Why didn't they take me and Tyler in? Where they really that cruel? Who is Andy and why would he recognize me?
"I-I Who's Andy?" I ask trying not to act so shocked.
Tyler took a deep breath before speaking "He's our brother. I know its a lot to take in and I should have told you before but I was afraid you would try to take him out of there to live with us just like I did before he turned fifteen but I was too late. He's sixteen now. He lives with Auntie Cam do you remember her. He's not mind controlled because he's in a higher rank.
"When mom and dad died Andy was six just the age of Aunties son that died from a disease. She pretended he was her son and everyone believed her. She would have took us too but the leaders hated our parents and would have found a way to kill us. I can't risk anyone hurting you Gabe I won't let you go there."
I stare blankly at Tyler. I had anther brother. I do remember Auntie but Tyler told me she died. I just can't believe Tyler would keep this all from me. But I'm more shocked about all those facts I never knew about my life. How did I not remember Andy? Did I mix him up with Tyler? Do they look a lot alike? Do we look alike?
What is his life like? Does he know about me? He most likely does know about me. I wonder if he wants to hurt me. Or maybe he wants to be with us. When I go I should find him. I don't care what Tyler says I need to save him. He would be better off here then in that creepy town.
Tyler hands me two pictures the one is of Averie. The next is a tan boy with sandy hair. His eyes are ocean blue. He's not smiling in the picture he actually looks mad or hurt or both. I know exactly who it is. It's Andy. He looks just like my father and myself. Everyone in our family looks alike. In the background there's the same mountains that were in the background of Averie's picture.That's when I notice the photo in Andy's hand. It's me and Tyler in the photo. Is he sad about us?
"Did you see this?" I ask pointing at the picture of us in his hand.
He shakes his head "No. And Gabriel don't ignore me. Your not going there I won't let you risk yourself."
"But Ty look." I point at his sad face. "He's sad for us. He misses us." I start to walk out of the room knowing he still doesn't want me to go. I go into the hallway and I run to the launch station. When I get there I take one look at the picture before shoving both of them in my pocket.
