Gabriel's
That night I didn't sleep one bit. I kept thinking about everything and the time I closed my eyes I either saw Averie or the black wolf. Neither scare me it's just... it's a little weird. There both weird and need more explaining.
I also thought about if the other mythical creatures were real like vampires and stuff. When I finally shut my eyes and attempted to sleep my alarm rings.
I groan and get ready for the day. I take a quick shower and put on my uniform. I decide to head down to the lunch room for breakfast. I was starving from not eating any of my dinner.
When I get there Averie is sitting at her table.
"Happy birthday!" I yell at Averie and walk over to her.
"Thanks." She says hugging me.
"You can't even sit at my table for your birthday?" I ask her feeling bad she's alone.
"Don't worry I made a friend." She says.
I frown "But I'm your friend." 'You're only friend' a voice in the back of my head says. She laughs a little bit and I feel kinda hurt. So we're not friends?
"I can have more than one friend, Right?" She questions raising one of her beautiful eyebrows. Man do I want to be more than a friend with her.
"Yep." I say with a smile and walk toward my table.
Only Andy,Kylie, and Killer are sitting there. I sit next to Killer. I don't know the other two that well even if Andy is my brother.
You think Killer and me would be good friends since he's fifteen and I'm fourteen and our birthdays are a month apart but no. In fact he's the top person in my team I know very little about and don't hang out with besides shadow. But he doesn't count because nobody knows about him.
I look over at Andy and I notice his dirty blond hair. And I think that Tyler has the same color hair but his wolf is black. I wonder what Andy's wolf looks like and what mine will look like. I hope mine doesn't look like Tyler's even though it is kinda cool.
"What does your wolf look like Andy?" I ask him hoping that's not a stupid question.
"Why don't I show you after breakfast." Andy says as a statement. I shake my head no. After yesterday I'm not ready to see anther wolf.
"Come on." Andy pleads "What else are you gonna do?" Defiantly not see anther giant wolf that's for sure.
"I'm going to celebrate Averie's b-day with her." I state. Andy looks at me weird and then stares into the distance thinking. What would thinking would need that much concentration, idk.
"Ok, Ditch your brother I get it." Andy finally said trying to make me feel guilty.
"I'll hang out with my brother tomorrow." I say. I'm not going to miss Averie's birthday.
...
Four hours later I was sitting in the movie room. It had leather recliners and a projector screen. Me and Averie had watched three out of the ten of the Disney movies the pack owned.
We watched Beauty and the Beast and Cinderella. I don't think I could take anther sappy movie.
"Averie. Can we do something different?" I beg her.
"Ya I'm getting bored." Averie replies and I am so thankful.
"How about we go in the woods, there's a lake somewhere I heard." A lake. Why did I never know there was a lake? I love to swim I'm surprised Tyler never took me there.
"Sounds good." I smile and she does too.
"Yep. I'll meet you out there. I'm gonna change into my swimsuit." I nod my head and she walks out of the room. How am I going to find the lake? I walk toward the exit down the dreary hallway when I come up to big double doors.
I loved going to the woods as a kid. I was only allowed to go out on special occasions. Like Easter and my birthday.
The smell of trees and flowers hits me and I can't help but smile. I decide to run around in the woods and look for the lake. I run so far into the woods I'm not sure if I passed it. I ran really far and fast. I don't know how I ran that fast its inhuman. But I guess I'm not human.
I hear a noise at first I think it's nothing but then it gets louder. So loud I cover my ears. I don't know what the noise is. It starts to hurt. It feels like my ear drums are gonna burst.
I cry out still clutching my ears I fall to the ground. Then it finally stops and all I can hear is ringing. I see a figure step toward me. I think it's Averie but it's a boy. As old as Tyler I'm guessing. He looks a me and laughs. I can't hear the laugh but I can see him. My hearing slowly comes back when I hear birds chirping.
"Look at this stupid pup. Your in the wrong place at the wrong time pup." I try to respond back but I can't talk. I try to move but I cant do that either. The boy laughs as he must see the terror on my face.
I'm paralyzed! Is it for forever. It feels so weird unable to move or talk. Then the boy kicks me in the stomach.
He laughs and does it again. I can't clutch my stomach which only makes this worse. I start to cry. I feel like a baby but it hurts like a bitch. I am not a wolf yet and if I was it wouldn't hurt so bad. He's ten time stronger than me because he's a wolf.
He kicks me in the face and my pain becomes greater. I taste blood in my mouth. When I think it can't get any worse he whispers.
"I can't wait to show the Alpha the my new prize." He was talking about me.
