12 : TRUTH UNFOLD

Seunghee did her best to concentrate on her career, and put aside her issues with Hyunsik. After a few months passed, she knew nothing could be done anymore. There's no more space for them to be back together again.

Recently known as the OST Queen, she was proposed by numerous song producers to sing their song. But this time, Seunghee decided to have a comeback. She chose to work with her old friend, Jo Jinho.

Seunghee greeted him with a bright smile. He's an idol from the same agency that will be composing for her new comeback.

Jinho was her friend during trainee days. He supposedly to be in the debut line with Btob that time. Unfortunately, due to some health and family issues, he withdrew from the line. But Cube saw his potential, and kept him for their younger boy group. He debuted in 2015 with Cube new boy group, a year after she debuted.

"Hey Oh Seunghee, how are you? Omo, I finally got to meet you after years."Jinho welcomed her excitedly.

" I'm good. And gonna be better with your song." Seunghee replied with a bright smile.

"Yah, you keep praising me. I'm just a freshie. Not even Im Hyunsik level you know."

"You will reach his level, believe me. You just need to practice more."

They chatted a bit, before proceeding to discuss about the new project. After an hour, they come into consensus. Jinho recalled his trainee memories.

"You know Seunghee, I have always admired Hyunsik. His self resilience is just on another level. Remembering how he sacrificed his love to fulfil his dream, I can't help but feel amazed. He hurt himself for the sake of the group and the girl too." Jinho said before having a sip of his drink.

Seunghee sighed lightly. Her heart just couldn't accept any shocking news about Im Hyunsik more. She wondered what Jinho is going to talk about Hyunsik.

"What do you mean by sacrifice?" She gathered her courage to ask.

"I'm not sure whether I should share this with you. But since it's an old story, so I guess it should be okay. Actually around 2 months before they debuted, a dating rumour of our sunbaenim with another girl idol leaked to the public. You know, fans at that time is just way different than our time now. Sasaengs. The girl idol received hundreds of blackmail, and the worst part, some even sent death threats."

Seunghee jaw dropped. She never thought fans would go that far.

"Hyunsik was so afraid the media would find her girl, so he broke up with her. He said, she don't deserve to risk her life for him. Besides, their debut is just around the corner, so he didn't want to risk Btob future. I was still with them when he broke up." Jinho paused.

"You know, knowing Hyunsik until today, that's the worst condition of Hyunsik I'd ever met. He was so despaired after the break up, he drastically lost his weight and spirit. We were so worried until we brought him to meet a counselor."

Seunghee was speechless. So all this years, her thoughts for him are wrong. Her eyes started to moist, but she tried his best to control. Jinho then realised Seunghee sudden gloomy face.

" Seunghee-ya. Are you okay?" He asked while waving his hand in front of her face.

Seunghee come back to her senses. She faked a smile and convinced him she's okay.

"Didn't he find for a new girl? I mean, to replace her." Seunghee purposely asked.

"Haish that guy. I wonder who will be the lucky girl to replace his ex girlfriend. He won't even glanced to any girl, I tell you. You know Hani right?" Seunghee nodded.

"Hani really like him, and seriously, she put such effort to attract his attention. She even confessed to him."

Seunghee was about to ask more, but Jinho then received a phone call. He excused himself, saying that he had another meeting to attend.

Seunghee walked to her recording room, locked the door and cried. She never thought the truth hurt her so much. It's not that she's hurt because of the break up, but she's hurt as she remembered what she did to Hyunsik. She hurt him with the reason of paying back what he deserved. Never did she know, Hyunsik is the one that's hurting all this while, and she literally added the scar each time.

"Hyunsik ah, I'm sorry. I'm the one that never understands you, never see the better side of you, and never appreciate what you did before. Why did a good guy like you met someone like me?" Seunghee muttered while blaming herself.

Is this really the end?
Can't we turn things back?
Why didn't I know back then but only after we broke up?
Why am I regretting when it's too late?
