The following day, Crimson had to pack for her new home, Wool's Orphanage. The police were still investigating her house but they helped her with the packing and loading of her belongings. It was around eight in the morning by the time they were finished. Crimson looked back at her empty room. She walked the floors of her house one more time to make sure she didn't forget anything. Top floor check, middle floor check, now for the basement.

She hobbled down the basement steps; the cold of the cement hit her feet when she reached the bottom. She looked around, checked high and low, but didn't see anything of her's. Before going back up, she checked the little cupboard under the stairs. She opened the door, which made a small squeak, and noticed a large chest. She lifted the top of the chest, which had a lot of her Mummy's and Daddy's things. There was also a note taped to the inside of the chest. It read,

Crimson,
We figured you'd come down here someday so we left you this trunk, that belonged to Mum, of stuff that belonged to us. Mum left you a very special spell book that you can use without a wand and the complete outfit she wore to a school dance. She hopes that you will wear it. And I, Daddy, have left you this journal with all of my travels and my old jacket from my travels. Read the journal and you'll discover many things in that jacket. We love you Crimson.
Love, Mum and Dad

Crimson quickly grabbed the whole trunk and tried to pull it upstairs. She had some trouble with it, so she called for an officer to help. "Is that the last thing?" he asked. She nodded.
Finally with all of her belongings packed up into two police cruisers, Crimson hopped in the back seat of the first cruiser, buckled up, and watched her house disappear in the distance.

Driving down the street, the only thing Crimson could think about was who could've possibly done this, how big of a grudge can you hold on two innocent people, was the attack meant for her instead, abd the list went on. Guess having a more advanced mind meant having more advanced questions and thoughts. The cruiser came to a slow stop. "We're here Ms. Pond. We'll bring your belongings inside." the office said. She gave a quick nod in thanks.

It was now raining. So before Crimson stepped out, an officer held an umbrella over her. She looked and his uniform; it had the name 'Greene'. "Thank you Officer Greene, for everything," she said. "Just doing my job darling," he said in return. They walked up the stairs to the main door, where a curly blonde hair woman in a very pretty light gray dress stood.

"Quite the nasty spill, eh?" the lady said. "Indeed it is ma'am" Officer Greene said. "You must be Crimson. My name is Ms. Cooper but you can just call me Lucy. Come on inside and we can get you settled in". Crimson nodded and followed Lucy inside; Officer Greene and another officer followed behind carrying her belongings. They walked up two flights of stairs and down a corridor till Lucy stopped in front of a door painted black. "I hope this will suffice; all other rooms are taken" she said. She opened the door and Crimson peered her head in. The room had a twin size bed, a beautiful vanity, and a great window view. "It's perfect" she said with a smile. "Will you be alright here?" Office Greene asked. She nodded. "Alright then. We'll leave your belongings here" he said and they proceeded to do so. As soon as he let go of the trunk, Crimson gave him a hug.  "Thank you for everything". He knelt down and hugged back. "I'm gonna miss you Little Crim. But I'll be around" he said. With that, he stood up, turned towards the door, and with one final glace over his shoulder he tipped his hat and disappeared out of the door frame.

"So Crimson, would you like any help with your luggage?" Lucy asked. She shook her head, "No thank you. I can manage on my own". "Wow, for a little girl you sure know how to talk like an 11 year old. But anyway, if you need anything I'll be around" Lucy said. Then she disappeared down the corridor and Crimson closed the door. She walked towards the bed, brought her belongings to the ground, then sat on the edge of the bed. Tears began to fill her eyes; soon she had rivers pouring down her face. She sniffled and sighed; when she finally calmed down, she wiped her face and looked at the trunk.
