I made my way back to Class 1-A marveling at the brightly painted walls and crystal clear glass ceiling. Part of me still couldn't believe I was attending U.A.
"(Y/n), you're going to be late for P.E if you keep walking this slow." I snap out of my gaze and turn to where the voice came from.
I noticed the familiar green hair from middle school. Asui Tsuyu. One of my closest friends. I didn't have the time to talk to her this morning so I took the chance to catch up while we both made our way to P.E.
"Asui! How's your day been going so far?" I walk alongside the shorter girl as she smiles at me.
"It's been good so far. Also, please just me Tsu. You seem to forget that I prefer Tsu over Asui."
Oh right. I've known Asu- Tsu for a while now, almost six years. It was pretty embarrassing that I couldn't even remember her preferred nickname.
"Ah, sorry Tsu." I apologized, giving her a small smile. We walked down the hallway talking about everything that had happened over the period we didn't see each other. She was especially excited because of P.E. Apparently, U.A's P.E classes were famous for being enjoyable, and still being able to keep all of their students fit. No one left U.A overweight. It was reasonable considering how famous their sports teams were. I had always wanted to be a part of their soccer team.
I turn to face her. "So are you planning to join any of their sports teams? " I ask her, remembering that tryouts would be held today. I was pretty excited. Sports were my thing, I could basically play all of them.
She looked down at the floor in thought. "Maybe the volleyball team," she lifts her head giving me a sheepish smile. "My hands would be the perfect size for that, don't ya think?" I nodded in response. She could probably make the basketball team too if it weren't for her height.
"(Y/N)! Tsu! You're going to be late come on!" As we were approaching the doors of the gymnasium, Mina popped out of the door and gave us a gesture saying "hurry tf up". We quickened our pace and slid into the closing door finding the whole class ready to go.
As if on queue, the bell rang and class had begun.
Coach Kan clapped his hands together, getting our attention.
Isn't that Class B's homeroom teacher? I nodded my head as he spoke about the different sports teams we would be trying out for. I had my mind set on soccer, though volleyball might be fun as well.
"And if you don't want to join a team you might as well do my specialized workout routine made just for kids like you." He gave us an evil smirk and sharply pointed to his dry-erase board which was covered in messy handwriting.
I gulped. Man, this guy's scary. He definitely isn't going to give us an easy time.
Coach returned to his normal monotone state. "That being said, let's get to tryouts."
He instructed us to form a line around the perimeter of the gym as he came around to each separate student asking them what sport they would like to take part in. I was standing next to Iida and decided to talk to him to make time pass faster.
"Hey Iida," I greeted him with a small wave. He turned his attention to me. "What sport are you taking?" I asked. Knowing Iida it was probably either soccer or track, he would honestly be great at both.
He pushed his glasses further up the bridge of his nose. "I am going to take track, as my brother did when he attended U.A." He tells me in triumph. I grin. Iida had always looked up to his older brother. I myself also had an older brother, but he was just a big goofball who only did things when he had to. I'm surprised that he's made it this far in life.
