Pirates of the Caribbean

Prologue

Seven years ago

Elizabeth Swann sings her musical song of 'Pirates Life' to the breathtaking waters of the Caribbean ocean.

The waves crashing on the sanded area as she hums. Stopping in her tracks, Elizabeth looks at the orange blush from the dawning skies that mirrored off the steady sea.

"We should be getting back now, Ms. Swann." Her guard tells her. "Your father will wonder where you are, Ms, and it isn't well for a young lady your age to be out this late."

Elizabeth stops her song with a gaze over her shoulder in annoyance. "It's only dawn, Teal. Also, I'm thirteen now. I think I deserve an extra hour outside." The waves settling catch her ears as her attention drifts back to them. "Besides, it's peaceful out here. Don't you think?"

"Yes, Ms. Swann." Teal looks to the one in a lifetime scenery of the dawning beauty. "It truly is."

Out the corner of her eye, Elizabeth's smile broadened at the sight of a special person to her heart.

"Will!" Elizabeth eagerly waves him down. "Over here!"

Teal turned his eyes up to one of the docks holding their small ships, and indeed the young boy, William Turner, stood upon them; speaking with the Captain.

Will caught Elizabeth's voice, his eyes searched around until he found her by the beach side. Waving his hand in the air—with a smile just as wide, he motions for her to wait a minute for him.

Teal brow arches down to her in suspicion. "Isn't that the blacksmith boy?"

"Yes, it is." Elizabeth was full of giddy. "I didn't think he would be out this late." Will excused himself and made haste over to the two. "Hello, Will. It's good to see you! How have you been?"

An edgy Will could only smile. "I-I am well, Ms. Swann. And yourself?"

Elizabeth heaved a slight sigh but smiles in return. "Will, you're only one year younger than me. I told you that it is okay to call me, Elizabeth." The young boy's eyes grew at such unformality.

Teal looks at her crazy. "Your father would not think so."

"Hush!" Elizabeth shushes him with a stern
pout to match, and looks back to Will. "Don't you listen to him. It really is alright."

Will shakes his head. "No, he does have a point. Although it would be nice, Ms. Swann. This is better."

Elizabeth didn't hide her disappointment. "If that is what you wish, Will." She finds it in her to crack her lips back up into a smile. "Have you seen the skies today?"

"Yes!" Will nods, his eyes go out towards the seas. "Other than delivering an order to Mr. Norrington's men, the view is one of the main reasons I came out here. I'm not really sure of why, but I guess you could say the seas called me here today."

Elizabeth's eyes gazes over. "Same here. I thought I was the only one."

"No." Will started to get lost in the breathtaking moments. "You're not the only one, Ms. Swann."
