Summary: According to Emilia Taylor, having a bestfriend is way better than having a significant other. You don't have to worry about looking good when you're around them and you can be your absolute most embarassing and know they'll hold no judgement.

Authors Note: I love the entire best friends fall in love storyline but I've noticed a very common and repetitive theme among them, which I strongly dislike, that you won't be finding in my book. That being:

- Cheating (this is the most common one in these stories and i can't stand it for the life of me)

- The love interest being oblivious/clueless to every damn sign

- Mean ex girlfriend that makes it her life's mission to ruin the protagonists life

Now don't get me wrong, I've read all those clichès and still hold them near and dear to my heart, but it's not anything that I aspire to write about. However, this book will contain the follwoing:

- Diversity (main lead is a POC)

- Sexual themes

- Alcohol

- Foul language (they are teenagers, after all)

- Loads of lighthearted banter
