She made him coffee again and she set it down on his desk.
"Thank you," he smiled.
"I'll be eating out later, would you like to join me?" she asked
"Sure, I'd love too!" he answered as he pulled her towards his chair and he put his arms around her waist. She just smiled. She doesn't know what this means, she doesn't know what he means. But she looked at him and just said:
"I'll see you later".She came back during lunch hour and was about to enter his office when she saw someone else inside his office with him. She saw them through the glass doors. Her smile disappeared. She felt dark clouds hover above her head. She saw them laughing. She saw that the woman brought food. She decided to walk on and was about to open the door then she saw him walk towards the table.
He made her a cup of coffee.
She turned around and walked away from his office. She went to the ladies room and looked at herself in the mirror. She saw herself in tears.
"Stupid" she said softly. "Now, you know your place..." talking to herself in the mirror.
More tears rolled down, she closed her eyes but the vision of "them" was embedded in her mind. He MADE her a cup of coffee. And she cried, for all the things she knew and for all the things she didn't know.
