"Omg, when will this day ever end?" Laylah asked, annoyed at the new extended time to every day of her last week of high school.  "I mean honestly, I legitimately want to go home and lay in the sun." She told her friend Dimitri, a tall ginger boy, with eyes, depending on his mood, would change their colour.

"Oh, can I come?" He asked, hoping to get to hang with Laylah some more. "Five minutes left," He then spoke. "I'm gonna start the countdown." The boy pulled out his phone and began to type something Laylah couldn't see. An alert chimed on her phone, she pulled it out of her pocket, opened it, a read.

In Group Chat

Dimitri: Alright everybody these next five minutes are the last moments of our lives in this hell. I'm going to start the countdown now.

Liam: Oh great

Elias: I was JOKING when I said you should do a countdown over the last five minutes of senior year.

Laylah: I wasn't. I was being serious. I think it is a great idea!

Dimitri: 5

Liz: Bruh...

Dimitri: 4

Liam: Ok Dimitri, Fuckin' stop.

Laylah: How about you stop being a short lil' dick Liam, hmm? Don't forget who brought you into this group.

Dimitri: 3 and you really didn't have to do that laylah.

Liz: You two would be sooo cute together!

Dimitri: Not again Elizabeth.

Elias: 2

Elias: I might as well join in.

Dimitri: 1

Out of chat

The high pitched bell sounded. As it did, everyone jumped out of their chairs and papers flew from one side of the room to the other. The rainbow colours that scattered the floor led all the way to the school parking lot.

Laylah made her way through the crowd to get to her motorcycle. When she reached the black Harley-Davidson, she was greeted by the familiar face of a tall brunette, who wore a baseball cap backwards.

"What's up, Dahlman?" she spoke. "You're leaning on my ride?"

"It appears that I am, that might be because I want to hang at your place tonight," he responded. "Oh Liam and Elizabeth wanna hang too."

Laylah thought for a moment, then replied, "If I say you can hang, you can't start fights with Dimitri, he'll be there too." She gently pushed him off of her bike and mounted it. "If you and Liam bring anyone extra Elias, I swear to Satan, I WILL kill you."

She put her helmet on, started her bike, and rode for the coast. Her home.
