The Born Again Story

Movie 2: Back to Fight Again- Chapter 7

(No One's P.O.V.)

Salem, Mercury, and Jin are standing in the meeting room. The doors open, and Cinder comes walking in. 

Salem: Ah, Cinder. There you are. 

Cinder: Yes. I was just getting the nice feeling of refreshment of being back. 

Salem looks at Jin. 

Salem: I see that the artifact is not with you. How come? 

Jin: We looked everywhere we could after we got Cinder. But we were restrained by time. Some of Volt's people were still there. We dropped as many as we could. A couple got away. I figured it was best if we got out of there before Volt and the rest of his people came back. 

Salem: Please spare me the excuses. You're just lucky I don't care that you failed. 

Jin: What? 

Salem: Your failure gives us access to something I was hoping we could do. 

She looks to Cinder. 

Salem: Cinder. Are you ready for what's about to happen? 

Cinder: Of course. There's a few of them I'm dying to get my hands on. 

Salem: Good. Jin, prep your forces. We launch an invasion on Vale. Starting with the city. 

The scene shifts to Lucy back in the secret room. She's still sitting at her computer. 

Volt, Emerald, and Assassin come walking in. Assassin's carrying the artifact. Volt now has his batons sheathed beside his daggers on either side of his waist. 

Jay comes walking in with Weiss, Yang, and Blake. 

Armin and Michael come walking in. 

And finally. Red Hood and Ruby come walking in with Team JNPR. 

Weiss and Blake look at Red Hood. The two of them come running up to him, hugging him. 

Weiss: We thought you were dead. 

Blake: You have no idea how sad I was. We're glad you're okay. 

Red Hood pulls his hood off. 

Caleb: It's good to see you two again. 

The three of them separate from the hug just as Assassin puts the artifact on the table. Caleb goes walking over to it. 

Caleb: This is what we're protecting. 

Caleb starts addressing everyone. 

Caleb: We have one more thing to establish. Not everyone can go out there. Some will have to stay here, and protect the artifact. Just in case something, or someone, gets behind us. Who will volunteer to stay back? 

Michael: There's no way Caleb, Armin, or Volt are staying back. They're too good. I'll stay back. 

Yang: I will, too. 

Jay: And so will I. 

Caleb: Dad. You've already done so much. Staying here to protect the artifact will mark you as a major target.

Jay: Son. I don't care. You're not just an inspiration to the civilians, or everyone in this room. You're an inspiration to me. And I'm gonna do all I can to help. 

Caleb: Okay. 

Ruby: I'll stay, too. 

Caleb: Ruby? Are you sure? 

Ruby: I'm sure. 

Caleb: Okay. 

Lucy: It's good to see we got all of that settled.
