Scorpius It's just a joke like that doesn't go both ways, it was very hard for Al to accept himself, since there's still this stigma around gay people it bothered him, you guys have it a lot easier being straight than we do

Lily Ok well Albus has always sorta knew he was gay, well he never came out and said it but you know he knew. Anyway one day when Albus was in second year dad said something about gay people, now this is before we all knew he was, and Albus stared at him for a moment then walked up to his room without saying anything. The rest of us kinda just looked at each other like 'that was odd' So it wasn't until dinner that night when mum called him down for dinner that we found out something was wrong when he didn't come down or respond. So mum sent James up to get him thinking he fell asleep and then we heard James screaming. Mum dad and I ran up to see what was going on. James was there holding him back cause he was crying really hard and was trying to hurt himself, it wasn't until a little later after things had calmed down we found out he actually was trying to kill himself. When we asked why, she said it was because he was gay and didn't want anyone to hate him or think of him differently. Dad apologized profusely saying that if he knew he never would have said anything but of course it doesn't excuse it. But that's why it was so hard for him to accept himself and why it bothered him so much
