The day of excitement as arrived
The dark feelings of yesterday have left
Leaving you giddy with excitement
You are so happy that
One would believe that you were floating on a cloud
You are as free as a bird,
As chirpy as a Robin,
As playful as a kitten
As bouncy as a puppy
But you know that one day
soon you will be a caged bird.
That the clouds will turn grey
And everything will be dull
once more
