"Please accept my chocolate!"

February 14th, Valentine's Day, a day where it is common to people to exchange chocolates as a mark of gratitude, compassion, or even.. love. At the moment, Rio and Kaori planned through text to meet in back of the theater building― somewhere they deemed as secret enough for someone not to interrupt them as they meet, and revealed to each other  that they gave each other a chocolate of their handmades.

A silence followed before the blonde stood up straight, having to clear her throat. In a more calmer tone she spoke out, trying to play it cool but God knows that she is having a gay panic right now.

"A—hem,

Kaori-chan.. Please accept my chocolate, would you?"

Silly. Her nervous smile cannot hide that fact well, Kaori knows so but she decided to keep it to herself. A small chuckle made as she took the chocolate then swapping off the chocolate in Rio's hand with her own.

"Here, mine. You better taste it too."

"I know! You better taste it too now―"

"Why now?"

"I need to know how do you feel with my chocolate! I mean, there is no turning back once you ate it at home and if turns out bad, right?"

Makes sense for Kaori, the brunette soon unwrapped the chocolate so does with Rio, they both ready with the chocolates at hand―

"Ready?"

"One.. Two.."

Nom.

There were some.. confused expressions. Rio with her brows curling and Kaori with her eyes shut.. Before them both swallowed the chocolate.

"...Did you put it so too much liquor? What are you making, a salty martini?" Kaori protested, looking at the rest of the small rectangular chocolate Rio made, only a small chunk was taken from the edge yet the flavor already overwhelms her.

"And what did you made here, are you basically making this a cotton candy? Too sweet..!" The small bonbon in Rio's hand was half-bitten― even less! Deemed too sweet, Rio also voiced her protest, sweet things are definitely good but this kind of sweet? Surely didn't take it up to notch for an adult's taste, more like a match for children's palette.

"Oh."

"I see, we both screwed up," Kaori glanced back and forth to each other's sweets― No, not good. They did admit it openly right in each other's face at that moment also.

"Ahhh!! I messed up! Goodness! I'm so sorry, I thought you'd like it a bit more extreme! I mean, you don't seem as mellow as you look."

"And I thought you'd like them sweet.. My bad."

....

They are not exchanging gaze at each other, then onto the horrendous chocolates they had on their first bite.

"So what are we going to do?" A hopeless sigh escaped Rio's lips, before she snapped a small chunk for a taste.. Goodness, it was ABSOLUTELY atrocious with the salty, liquory taste. "Okay fine, I admit mine was bad.. or at least you're a sweet tooth."

Kaori's finger picked up one of her own bonbon, a dainty bite to taste.. Surely it was sweet, but being used to confectionery so much that Kaori felt her normal.. maybe this one is not for Rio, after all.

"Fine, fine. How about we make it together at mine? We can just adjust the taste to each other's liking." The brunette made out a suggestion, the only one she can think of.
