chapter two: betrayal

"Wait!" snakepaw screeched at his dad,
But it was too late.. He was already half-way across the thunderpath.. when all of a sudden fernstar noticed a car.  he tried to run but it was too late the car hit him and blood splatered on the road snakepaw stared in terror at the bloody body curled up in the road hopeing this was just a bad dream "dad!!" He cried not sure if this was real then he felt something warm wrapped around him as he looked beside him at stonepaw and just Broke down in tears nuzzling into foxpaws warm chest as foxpaw slowly licked his head fluff holding him closer wanting to comfort the small leader

Snakestar slowly wobbled over to the bruised up cat that was once the strongest cat he knew stonepaw followed behind him looking out for cars as they dragged the old leaders body to the clan meeting rock before being interrupted by the elders gossiping "that kit was messed up already now how are we supposed to depend on an apprentice?" One of the elders said staring at fernstars limp body with a cold glare in their eyes "he deserved it" another one said in a calm and disturbing voice as stonepaw gave a death glare to them hopeing they would shut up for at least a second.

Anyway back to the story -->

Snakestar was trying not to stutter as hard as he could he just looked up at stonepaw (yes he a short boi) and nuzzled his head into stonepaw's warm chest hoping everyone would disapear

stone's pov:
He looked down at the small brown and orange tom  wondering what he was thinking then out of nowhere snakestar nuzzled into him shocked he freezed
"oh- uhh.. Sorry... I-i.. Got nervous... I'm--" snakestar stuttered awkwardly tears still streaming down his cheeks  "I-it's fine.. Besides you are fernstar's kit we all know who you are.." stonepaw sighed smiling slightly hoping to cheer up the young tom "wa- oh- uh.. ya sorry-" snakestar stuttered looking down at his paws "Umm.. ..I-im sorry about your dad...'' stonepaw sighed sadness lurking in his eyes but hiding his sadness from the cats around him like usual.
