Apparently, Percy had to stay in a room with this Jungkook dude. Not complaining, he didn't bother Percy. Like, at all. He was just there, minding his own business, not talking to him.
Eventually Percy felt a bit self conscious, so he leaned on the door frame awkwardly and looked at Jungkook, who was on his phone, wordlessly. He wasn't good at these situations.
"So..." Percy spoke up, and cleared his throat awkwardly. "Jungkook, right?"
The Korean looked up from his phone, and turned it off. "Yeah. Percy, right?"
"Yep,"Percy said, and cleared is throat. "So um. Do you have a job?"
"Yeah, we all do," Jungkook said, and swung his legs over the bed, standing up. His height seemed to tower over Percy. Or maybe it was just is handsome looks.
But then again, it wasn't Percy's fault that he was as straight as a circle.
"What do you guys do?" Percy asked, curiosity getting the best of him.
"You really don't know?" Jungkook asked, looking him straight in the eyes. "You're not acting?"
"How the hell would I know?" Percy's nose scrunched up in confusion.
"We're pretty popular in America," Jungkook sighed. "But promise not to tell your friends or mine that I told you, yeah?"
"I swear on the River Styx," Percy said without thinking.
Jungkook raised an eyebrow. "The River Sticks?"
"No, the River Styx. It's a river in the Underworld, and the goddess Styx will give you a horrible punishment if you swear something on her and then break that promise," Percy explained. "I swear on the River Styx."
Jungkook paused for a moment, then gave a smile that looked like a bunny smile. "Thanks for doing that, but you really didn't have to."
"I don't break my promises," Percy said, his expression darkening. If he had, none of them—his team or himself—would have been alive right now.
"Well," Jungkook seemed quite unfazed, and he touched a picture on the wall. "We're a boy band called BTS. It stands for Bangtan Sonyeondan. It means Bulletproof Boys. We sing, dance and rap."
"That's cool. Do you guys do like, a certain genre..?"
"K-Pop. It's a genre of basically everything. We as a band have sad songs, upbeat songs, songs about problems people might have," Jungkook looked back at Percy. "We have songs of about everything you could want. But we do it on our own accord and our own care for the world."
Percy stared at him, and Jungkook stared back. He felt something bloom in his stomach, and he shifted his gaze away. "Can I see one of your songs?"
"What kind?" Jungkook asked, picking up his phone and sitting on the bed.
"Something that'll make me amazed," Percy shrugged. "Personally, I'm not one for those kinds of songs, but I want to see what you're all about."
The corner of Jungkook's mouth twitched as he typed something on his phone, giving it to Percy.
"What is this one?"
"Our latest group song live, Black Swan. I think you might like it," Jungkook watched, and his eyes narrowed every time he came center.
Percy watched silently. They were talented. "Did you guys choreograph it?"
"We coreograph our dances, write our lyrics, produce our music," Jungkook nodded. "We prefer to be self-made."
