Percy Jackson was not happy.

You see, his team—consisting of Leo, Jason, Piper, Frank, Hazel, Annabeth and himself—had gone out for brunch. They had fell through some portal thingy and were now in what Annabeth claimed to be Korea.

Yep.

Normal day for a demigod.

Though he had no idea what they should do now.

"So you haven't studied Korean?" Frank asked Annabeth, shifting on his feet nervously.

"I'm pretty sure we'd already be on a subway and out of here if I had," she rolled her storm gray eyes. They seemed to change color from time to time, and as her best friend, Percy could say that. But his thought train was choo-chooing off the tracks.

"Well, um, I guess we can just...find our way out?" Hazel asked timidly. There were a lot of people passing by.

"Yeah, Hazel, we can just run around the whole of Korea, then swim across the ocean back to America. Genius idea, you know?" Leo said, taking out a nail from his tool belt along with a piece of machinery and putting it in.

"Well why don't you try reading those signs?" Hazel narrowed her eyes at Leo, who raised his hands, even though they were still occupied.

"Not saying I can do better," he muttered.

"Well let's try to ask someone for help," Jason sighed, his electric blue eyes roaming the streets of Korea. "I'm sure someone here knows English well enough to direct us to where we meed to go."

"Excuse me," a man approached, wearing a mask, cap and sunglasses. "Do you kids need help?"

Percy and Jason glanced at each other, and Piper spoke up, "Yes please."

"Well, what's up?" his accent was faint, but it was noticeable. "I'm sure I can be of some assistance."

"Well you see, we're looking for a subway to go to America," Leo said, and Annabeth face-palmed.

"Leo, I was kidding when I said that, how can a subway take us across the ocean?" she sighed.

The man let out a chuckle, and then sighed. "Why do you kids need to go to America?"

"Um, we're here for a...field trip, but we got...separated from the group, lost our tickets and our passports. And money," Percy said. "And—"

"We lost all of our belongings," Annabeth said, shooting Percy a look.

"Oh you poor things," the man shook his head. "Well I'm sorry Korea left you such an awful impression. Maybe I can help you guys further with that, but care to come over to my house? My friend can make you all something to eat and then we'll see what we can do."

"Uhm. I'm..." Jason glanced around at the others, "...not too sure." What if this man was a monster, and his friend was another?

Frank shifted on his feet uneasily, and Hazel's hand flew to the inside of her jacket, on instinct. The driftwood.

"I know you may not trust me, but anyone else in Korea may molest you," the man glanced behind him. "There are quite a lot of them here. It's a sort of gang street. You're not any safer here than you would be in a mafia alleyway."

Percy knew that nobody here could necessarily do anything, but better for them to keep that to themselves. "I mean, I guess I'm fine with it, but.."

Jason sighed, but nodded, and eventually everyone else followed lead. Except Leo, he was still tinkering.

"Alright. Follow me, and stay close," the man said, voice dropping low, as someone's eyes landed on the demigods.

Piper basically yanked Leo's arm off, and he finally snapped to reality, putting his stuff away and rubbing his shoulder as he walked.
