Warning: Mild GoreThe crawling in her throat was too much. Even when the pungent taste of blood reached its peak Zu had no choice to but to heave up the expanding lump in her throat. Right into her hand it all came dribbling down her chin with little signs of stopping.
Wads of bloody, mucousy rose petals fell from her ajar mouth. Most of what fell between her feet in a pile of stomach acid and blood, a few of them made it into her palm before finding the same fate. Again a wave of nausea hit her. This time producing even stickier bloodier clumps of roses. Until finally there was something too big in her throat for her to hack up.
Tears streaming down her face and the fear of it all twisting inside her. Zu opened her mouth as wide as she could manage. Her paw shaking just as she did it. Reaching back and trying to dislodge what it was clogging her throat.
Freed and nestled in her palm Zu could only feel the tears worsen. Streaking down her cheeks to mix with the blood staining her chin. There it was. A perfect red rose.
"No..." Zu's nausea setting into gut tightening panic, "No, it's happening again."
