Chapter 8: Battle of Beacon

3rd perspective

F/N and the other students watched as the Hive Nevermore crashed down into the arena, the force of its landing sending Penny and Pyrrha both to their backs.

Jaune: "Pyrrha!"

Ruby: "Penny!"

The two fighters staggered back to their feet as the Hive Nevermore got on all fours leaped forward towards them. They braced themselves before a series of rapid booms filled the arena and Nevermore now had 5 smoking holes in its chest. Penny and Pyrrha looked back to see F/N with Last Word in his hand, the barrel still smoking as he raised it again.

F/N: "No one is dying because of me!"

In response, the Nevermore let out a screech and took to the air again. It began to circle around and once making a complete circle, then dove down to attack us again. I prepared for its attack when lockers started to crash down into its back and wings. It struggled to keep going but slid in front of us, letting out one last screech before its head and body went limp. Each of the lockers began to open as teams JNR, RWBY, CFVY, SSSN, FNKI, ABRN, and METL stood atop the Hive Nevermore.

F/N smirked under his helmet as he looked at the students, though the moment was short-lived as the Nevermore started to get back up. The teams hopped off it except for a few. Nora ran up its back and down its face before using her hammer to smash its head back into the ground. Arslan helped Yatsuhashi into the air as he and another student used their great swords to sever the head and the Hive Nevermore turned to dust as the symbols faded.

F/N looked around as the students gathered, a feeling of shame started to wash over him.

F/N: "Guys...I'm sorry, this is happening cause of me, I-"

Blake: "Stop."

F/N: "But-"

Yang: "No, she's right. This isn't your fault, it's whoever is behind the screens."

He gives them a nod as he looks out at the teams, though soon Hive Griffon's started to gather around the edge of the arena's roof.

Ren: "Griffons."

Neptune: "Anyone got a plan of attack?"

We readied ourselves as one of the griffons landed in front of us, it let out a roar before getting load buckshot to its face. The group looked over to see Professor's Port and Oobleck with their weapons in hand.

Port: "Students I believe it is time for you to leave."

Ruby: "But we can fi-"

Oobleck: "Miss Rose. This day will surely go down in Remnant's history. I'd prefer if my students lived to tell about it."

She nodded and looked at F/N.

F/N: "What?"

Ruby: "Lead the way."

F/N: "O-oh right, alright people, let's move!"

The students responded by leaving the arena the sounds of Ports laugh the last thing they hear from the teachers.

Out on the bulkhead docks, transports we're taking all the civilians off of Amity, large packs of people waiting to board the shuttles. As this is going on a mix of White fang bullheads and Devil skiffs drop off Hive Grimm on the platform, Atlas droids taking out what they could, Ironwood standing by and watched as a large Hive Grimm tore apparat two of his droids. He ferried his brow and he began by charge the large Grimm.
