"So Eli, what is your sexuality?"
I choked on the shake I had and started coughing because of it. Everyone looked at me and Eli made sure I was okay.
"Christian, are you okay?" he said while patting my back. The coughing calmed down after a bit and I put my head down while my arms went to the side.
"Yea I am fine, I just had some air get caught in my throat," I said. I then placed my chin on the table and my arms just stayed limp.
"Alrighty then Christian~~~," Marissa said whilst looking at me funnily.
"Um, I am sorry but I didn't hear what you said, could you repeat it?" Eli asked.
"Oh, I asked what your sexuality was? You don't have to answer it if you don't want to though," Marissa said as if she were an angel, she then looked at me with a devilish smirk.
"Oh, I am Pansexual. But I have more of a male preference, why does this matter though? If I may ask that is," he said whilst looking at his food and he then took a bite.
I quickly hid my face with my arms going up to put my head down on.
"Oh, it is because you'll fit right in with everyone else here," she said with a sickeningly sweet smile. "You see, all of us aren't exactly straight. I just wanted to see if you would be the first straight to sit at our table, I couldn't tell from looking at you so I wanted to make sure instead of being rude,"
"Yea, we are all LGTBQ+ identifying but we don't exactly go around telling every single soul that asks us. Some of us are kinda reserved and others haven't properly come out yet," Said Julia.
"Oh, that is actually really cool. I thought I would be pretty alone when I came to this school and I thought I wouldn't really be able to find any friends who I would be able to open with about this kind of stuff with. It is quite relieving," Eli said, he looked around the table and realized that there were more people here than he initially realized. "So what about all of you?"
"I am lesbian," said Julia.
"I am Bisexual," said Marissa.
"I am Ace," Alex said.
"I am trans and bi," said Hayden.
"I... I am gay," I said hesitantly.
He looked around at everyone as they said their things and I had put my head up to say what I had to, I didn't look at him when I did though. Yet, I was still able to feel my face heating up and I tried to just ignore it for now. I wasn't the last person to speak luckily, and the other people sitting at the table kept the circle going and kept saying what they were.
I looked over to Marissa and I just saw her smiling at me with a very smug smirk. I narrowed my eyes at her and she just chuckled and then looked to the person who had been speaking.
I sat up and started to drink the shake again. Everyone had finished speaking and Eli just sat there with a slightly shocked look on his face by the fact that we were all so diverse compared to the rest of the student body. I kept taking glances at him every once in a while trying to not let anyone notice.
Soon after all of that, the bell rang and everyone got up to throw away their trash and turn in their trays. Eli went up and did this and I waited for him, I don't exactly see why I did it but I did. He came up to me and we started to walk back to class.
"OH! Do you have a phone Christian?" he asked as he looked at me.
I looked at him "Oh, uh, yea I do. Why?" I asked.
