A moment later, I get another phone call. I don't look at the caller ID again. And answer, thinking it's the person as before, I go off. "Look-"
"Sorry... is this Y/N?"
"Depends on whos asking."
"Yeah, hi, I'm Jaden Hossler
I blink. "Oh." That was probably rude.
"So can I speak to Y/N?" I put my hand over the speaker and mentally slap myself. "Y/N." I call in an old witchly-like voice. I cringe, that was even more stupid. I take my hand off he speaker and talk.
"Hello?"
"Hey... so as you know, paparazzi." I chuckle. "Mmhmm. What about them?"
"We need to do some sort of public video that we're not dating."
I blink. "Oh. Yeah, right."
"Yeah," his voice stays serious. Cold. "So let's meet up and do the tiktok. Meet me at taco laco cafe in ten?" (Idk came up with a random name).
I nodded, then remembered he can't see me. "Sure." I mumble. I walk to the address, which is a twenty minute walk. I order a coffee and wait for him. I then roll my eyes and groaned at myself as I realize I forgot my phone. Jaden comes in. He sits down next to you after ordering a coffee. "Hey, sorry I was late."
I shake my head slightly "I'm just early."
"My phones dead. Can we film it on your phone? We can go to a park or something-" he seemed eager. "I left my phone at home." He thinks for a moment, then sighs.
"I'm sorry, we can reschedule?"
"Yeah sure." We both leave an I sigh. Geez I was an idiot. Maybe one of us could post a video? Then I remembered Jaden did that. We had to do it together.
"Y/N." I spin around as I hear my name being called by a strange voice. I blink. Was i going crazy?
I hugged my jacket closer to myself and put my head down. I speed-walked home.
I checked my phone and saw a ton of notifications. What's with all the commotion? I think. I turn the news on.
It's a photo of you and Jaden at the cafe. "Jaden and Y/N dating confirmed! C/N (couple name) has become real! Millions of fans from all around the world ship them."
God why did I have to leave my phone at home?
I should have double checked, I take my phone everywhere.
My phone starts to ring, I answer. "Hey."
"Hi Y/N, it's Jaden. I was wondering if maybe we should keep the act up for a bit? If you don't mind. I want to get this girl off my back."
"Oh... the dating thing?"
"Yeah." I think for a moment. How would mom react?
"I guess..." I say.
"Great! Let's meet tomorrow the cafe and make sure to bring your fully charged phone and I'll be sure to bring mine. It can be our first 'date'." We both chuckle and discuss a time.
