The Vampire Diaries (Book 1)

The night of the comet

I woke up and pulled my self out of bed. I had this massive hangover and couldn't remember much of last night. I don't even remember going to my bedroom after talking with Jeremy. I walked over to my desk and grabbed a bottle of aspirin and took a couple. I got dressed and walked out of my bedroom. I saw Elena looking at me before walking up. "Have you seen Jeremy" "No I just woke up why?" "Jenna said he left early but I don't know where he could have gone". "Elena I'm sure he's fine. Ill find him". I said walking down the stairs before going out the door. I knew where Jeremy went, but there was no way I was going to tell Elena about Vicky and Jeremy. Especially if he's at the hospital visiting Vicki before school. Elena would just get mad at tell him he can't see her anymore. 

I went to the hospital and Jeremy was no where to be found but I did see Matt. "Hey Matt how are you holding up" I asked putting my hand on his shoulder. "they said she can come home tomorrow but they wanna keep her another night for observations". He said looking at me. " Did you at least get in touch with your mom" I asked. "Called and left a message... shes with her boyfriend so I don't know" He looked at me, but continued his sentence "I definitely think She was super drunk last night" "Why" "she said a Vampire attacked her" "What". We both exchanged looks but then laughed.

After I left the hospital I went right home. I had skipped school that whole day and I knew Aunt Jenna would be mad but tonight she had a different victim.... Jeremy. I went upstairs right away and sat on my bed. I took a moment to catch my breath. Since mom and Dad died I have had to be super strong for both Elena and Jeremy. I didn't get to grieve and I wasn't going to start now. After a moment I texted Elena

Bailey: Hey Elena where are you??

After a couple of minutes later she still hadn't responded and I began to get worried so I figured out where the Salvatore house was and made my way there. I knocked on the door and it pushed open. I walked inside and looked around. It was a big house. "Stefan, Elena. Where are you guys?" I said. After a couple minutes there was no response and I continued walking further inside the house. I looked around and when I turned to the right there was a hot blue eyed black haired man. I let out a tiny yelp. He sure knows how to scare a girl. Feeling a little uncomfortable for just barging in so I finally decide to say something.  "The door was opened.  I just wanted to see if my sister is here her name is Elena". 

"you must be the little Gilbert, Bailey, I'm Damon, Stefan's older brother." The man said with a smile on his face.  I looked at him. All this time of Stefan hanging out with my sister he didn't once say he had a brother in mystic falls. " I didn't know he had a brother" "Well, Stefan's not one to brag. Look I haven't seen Elena" "Do you know if Stefan has or if he is with her" "No I don't, My brother is just absolutely smitten about your sister. I mean its a good thing, I never thought he'd get over the last one. Nearly destroyed him" He said. I wonder why he is telling me this stuff. After everything I am already pretty suspicious about Stefan and now I am even more. "Who was his Ex?" I asked maybe if he gives me the name I can search her and figure out who Stefan Salvatore really is. "her name is Katherine". After he finished that sentence Damon looked over me right into his brothers soul. 

What the hell is up with these two. They are both sketchy as shit. "Hello Stefan" Damon said but his brother just looked at him like if looks could kill Damon would be dead. "Bailey, what are you doing here?" "I haven't heard from Elena all day. I'm beginning to worry " "I haven't seen her but Let's go look for her" Stefan said trying to pull me away from Damon. "Your always welcome Little Gilbert". Damon said as I looked at both of the Salvatore brothers. I had no idea what was going on between them but I knew to keep my nose out of it. I walked out of the Salvatore boarding house.  Before Stefan could make his way out of the house I got back on my bike and rode away. I didn't stop until I reached the house.  I ran inside to hear Jenna and Jeremy yelling at each other. Jeremy walked of smiling and I just went to my room. I was not getting involved in all that.
