Sara perched on the black velvet chair in front of the vanity table, staring at a woman with a terrible appearance reflected in the luminous mirror. Her eyeliner smeared over her cheeks as her eyes swelled because of all the crying last night. Lost its shine, her long black hair was in a mess on her back. Its strands jutted everywhere, couldn't be tamed anymore.

Fuck my life. Fuck this world.

All people want to be me. The girl in a golden cage. I would give everything, if I could, to be freed from this hell. But I can't.

Her phone had been buzzing furiously because of a lot of the notifications from the incoming calls, texts, and social media.

If I were her, I wouldn't mind what my husband did, as long as I can have everything I need.

She's pissed off. Knowing your husband is cheating on you in the public. Just Divorce him!

We know there is no REAL perfect life, EVER!

Hey Girl, just enjoy your life. Drain all your husband's money. He doesn't even care about you.

She put her trembling hands on her ears and shut her eyes, screaming out loud like a crazy woman until her throat was sore and she couldn't scream anymore.

They don't even know what life I had been through. What I feel. Judging, judging, and judging.

Lifting her eyes slowly, she grabbed the scissors laying on the vanity. Reluctantly started cutting her hair and ripping her white sleeping dress. A pile of hair strands floated down all over her and scattered over the rug.

The phone was still buzzing in the background like a swarm of bees. Dolly meowed in a desolate voice, sitting behind her uncomfortably. His round eyes were gloomy and watery as if he understood the agony of his lifetime friend.

Her head was pain and likely to explode. I can't hold it in anymore.

She dragged her feet to the bathroom with one determination; burying her miseries. Dolly followed, but she closed the door right before he entered. She peeked, his eyes stared at her in despair, hiding the deep sadness. Maybe this sweet, gentle soul could feel what she was about to do.

Her tongue felt numb, "I'm sorry. I am really sorry," she said in a weak, raspy voice.

Dolly kept meowing miserably, nudging his head on the door, before turning around and sat, staring at her.

She saw that soaked round golden eyes for the last time before locking the door. Her chest moved up and down as she sobbed in silence.

Leaning on the door, she took a deep breath, collecting all her bravery. She then twisted the gold-coated bathtub's faucet, letting the water poured to fill the tub.

Sara lied on the bathtub, closing her eyes as the water started drowning her body. A vague voice calling her name somewhere. She didn't even know where it came from. Real or just her imagination.

"Sara! Sara! Where are you?"

A brisk thud heard outside the bathroom as if the owner was in a hurry or was worrying about something.

"Dolly, where is your mom?"

Dolly meow, scratching on the door as he wanted to address where Sara was. The man banged on the door loudly.

"Sara! Open the door!" he twisted the knob but it couldn't open.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

"Sara! Please open the door!"

Dolly kept scratching and meowing. The man kept banging and shouting. The phone kept screaming out, flooded with notification.

Whoever you are, goodbye. Goodbye, life. Goodbye, world.
