Kathir comes home drunk that night. Mulla has been waiting for him near the door. He just has knocked the door once when it opens. He looks up to find mulla standing there. He is immediately unsettled seeing her.

He stumbles in

Kathir is already extremely emotional but seeing her there triggered something in him. He walks in fast wiping his tears.
He walks into the room and takes his mat. Mulla walks in behind him looking angry. He tries to take the water jug but takes some showpiece instead. He clumsily walks to lock the door and lies down.

Kathir opens his eyes in a daze. He doesn't know if it's morning or evening . His eyes feel heavy and he finds it difficult to open them fully. His head is throbbing ...
He registers that he is lying in the bed first. Then slowly opens his eyes and turns to the weight on top of him on his left side. He becomes aware that someone is laying next to him. No almost on top of him. He feels soft skin on his chest. Still groggy and confused he tries to clear his head.
K mindvoice- Yaar nama pakathula. En padukaila irukom?
He catches sight of tousled hair And with slowly dawning horror realizes that it is a women next to him. He also grasps the fact that he has no clothes on.
K mindvoice panicked - Ithu mulla thane?? Kadavule ena nadakuthu inga.
He turns slightly to look at her face. And is first relieved that it is Mullai. Then is filled with dread.
K mindvoice- Eppidi Ithu. Ena panom nama nethi night.
He tries to recollect his thoughts from last night but everything seems little fuzzy.
Mulla seems to be sleeping soundly with her head in his chest.
He shakes his head slowly trying to clear it.
K mindvoice-Kanava Ithu.. Nama kanavula kuda thala ipidi valikuma?
He slowly moves himself away from and gets up from the bed. He sees his clothes lying all around. So is hers.
He gets dressed hurriedly. He feels a little sick and wants to throw up. He almost goes to the door but then turns and looks at her. He hits his forehead.
K mindvoice- Iva ippidi irukumbothu nama eppidi kathava tharaka mudiyum.
He runs his hands over his hair confused and upset.
