The next day, XX Fertility clinic.
"This way Miss the doctor will see you now" a young nurse dressed in a light blue uniform said and began directing them to the doctor's office. Feng Mimi walked in and sat in front of the doctor's table. The XX Fertility clinic was a popular clinic which Carter's to the 1% of the society hence the were very careful not to disclose any secret of their clients. However just to be careful Feng Mimi had registered under a pseudonym to protect her identity. She had even worn a blonde wig and dark sun glasses.
"Good morning Miss Lee I am your attending Doctor, Doctor Xi" a middle aged man with an already reseeding hairline said.
"first thing first is to run a series of test on you to check the state of your body and womb. The nurse will direct you to the lab" He said removing his glasses after reading through her file.
"Yes Doctor" Lei Lan stood and followed the nurse out of the office towards the lab.
An hour later after all the test had been done she was guided told to return the next day when the lab results will be out to meet the doctor and know the next action to take.
Feng Mimi was seated on the passenger seat while Lei Lan drove Her SUV. The had gone alone to avoid anyone leaking the information to the press or worse Jian Mengyao so Lei Lan drove her car to avoid anyone identifying Feng Mimi's Nanny Van. Feng Mimi had been playing games on her phone for a while and had began getting bored, so she quickly exited the game and logged into her weibo to find out what was currently trending online. She had already logged into her page when the top most comment from a Fan cought her attention "Feng Mimi is just a fake white lotus, I refuse to be Feng Mimi's fan" the fan wrote. She quickly sat up and began scrolling down and reading people's comments most of which were derogatory. She was still scrolling through when she saw some pictures that was uploaded by a fan and clicked on the picture opening it. One was picture of her drinking with Director Li on a private room, the second one was a picture of her leaving a hotel with a an unidentified male. The pictures were all taken at an angle that left a lot to be imagined. She quickly when to check the most searched and discovered that she was trending and not in a good way. There were also videos of her clubbing and making out with several men.
"what's wrong Mimi, why do you look worried" Lei Lan asked. Feng Mimi was already seating up and bitting her nails.
"This can't be happening, who would do this to me. Who dares" She said scrolling quickly.
'What going on, talk to me" Lei Lan said making a sharp turn.
"It must be her, she's doing this deliberately" She lamented.
"Who Mimi, what's going on" Lei Lan said.
"Madam Jian who else, she's revealing everything" she shouted angrily. Lei Lan quickly pulled over and snatched the phone out of her hands
"This can't be, I will try to do some damage control" Lei Lan picked up her phone and dialed a number. Feng Mimi picked her phone back up and continued scrolling up, when she came upon an article saying that she deliberately suppressed a young actress in the same company as her, there was even an eye witness that claimed to have seen her meet with an investor before an audition. Lei Lan had cut the call and turning to Feng Mimi she said "Mimi I have good new and bad new which would you like to hear first ?
"The bad news" Feng Mimi said still scrolling up.
"RK group just cancelled their contact with her they going with some one else" Lei Lan said.
"Who is it" She said dropping her phone and turning to face her best friend.
"Xue Meili" Lei Lan said softly.
"Her again, why can't she just disappear" She cried out angrily.
"I guess I should tell you the good news even though it isn't any better. The company said that they will be able to manipulate the pictures and discredit the reporters but not for long. The company is only offering a helping hand because of the Jian family but if they should find out that the Jian family doesn't acknowledge you then all deals are off. We will have to pull our plans closer, I will inform Doctor Xi that you will be starting the treatment tomorrow" Lei Lan said picking up her phone and scrolling through her contacts.
"That is good, Jian Mengyao will be travelling on a business trip in two weeks time so we have to hurry. I doubt that he is aware of his mother's ultimatum" Feng Mimi said.
Lei Lan finished the call and said "Doctor Xi fixed an appointment for tomorrow morning, I will pick you up by 8am"
.....A few days later
Feng Mimi wasn't shooting any scenes hence she had a rest day. Jian Mengyao had already left for Jian group so she was catching up on movies when her phone began to ring. She picked up the phone and checked who was calling, seeing that it was Lei Lan she swiped right and answered the call. As soon as the line connected Lei Lan said cheerfully "I just got a call from the director of the TV series /My Shooting star/ you have been cast as the second female lead and have been invited to watch the audition for female lead number 3"
"really I don't think I will be able to make it to the audition. I will have to trouble you to help me get excused" she said cheerfully.
"I don't think you would be saying this if you know who was invited to the audition. Take a wide guess " Lei Lan said.
"Who is it ? She said.
"Xue Meili" Lei Lan replied.
As soon as she heard this Feng Mimi sat up straight and smiling smugly said "Really, now this just got interesting"
