*Amy*

I was nervously rocking at the ball of my heels while Miss Sophie was peeling off her potato.Couldn't she do it any faster? I was going to die over here!!

And then she finally looked up.Her forever calculating eyes took me in slowly from head to toe before the pupils of her eyes dilated.

"Amy dear, what are you doing here on your day off?" She frowned sounding surprised to say the least.

Wait. What??I had the freaking day off too?Just like Smartie Pants??!

She smiled at my confusion.Well I guess it was written all over my face.

"Do you love that much this kitchen girl?" The other women around her snickered and exchanged looks.

No freaking way.Hey! I might try to make a living somehow in order to pay for all of my fees but no way was I loving being an errand girl.I just knew I had to go through all this.Otherwise, I'd have to contact my mother and I didn't want that at all...

I snapped my head back up at her before any more fault-o-matic conclusions started coming back at me and asked her.

"I didn't know that Miss. Why do I have the day off if I may ask?"

"The Headmistress herself gave it to you; child.I told her that you'd be informed but I see your friend, Artemis, didn't do the best to pass on the message."

My jaw dropped to the floor. The headmistress of the school?Madame Annarose? Why would she give me the day off in the first place? And why didn't Art say anything about it?....oh right. She was laughing her ass off while I was running around the room trying to get ready. That explained why.

Before Amy managed to say anything back,Miss Sophie continued.

"You are expected in her office by four o'clock in the afternoon. At least try to remember that Amy,dear." Her smile now started fading.

Oh people, I told you she knows too much!!This is why I had the day off.I had to pull  off another errand.I was so sure of it now!Ugh.And Miss Sophie knew exactly how to push my buttons and make me feel as if I was useless no matter how many errands I had to go through each and every day!

She just loved to make me feel helpless, didn't she?

I mumbled a thank you before turning back to the stuff stations in order to change and get my schoolbag.

Ugh, eArtemis was so dead!

-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-

After Amy was ready, she headed straight to the dining room.

Only to realise all too late that she was the only one with her schoolbag hanging on her shoulder. In the entire dining room.Perfect!

Just like a freaking fly in the soup. Nobody else had their backpacks with them...Why? Because this Academy was so high class that every kind of subject started after 10.00 am.Even for the "normal" students. So carrying her schoolback with her in here was like breaking a special rule of sovoir vivre.

Just great!

First the two alarm clocks. Then the false alarm for the kitchen emergency and now this!

This day was going from bad to worse faster than she'd ever dreamed.

And it was her first day of class too!

Needless to say that as she approached her table, she saw sat only Derek and Kate. This particular event wasn't much of a good omen either...

They were always sitting opposite each other. As far away as the table would let them be.They didn't really like each other. That much was obvious to anyone. Their connecting bond was me and Axel.
