"I'm useless."

Harry, element of life, the keeper of the Nature staff, Mother Nature's successor, eldest of the element holders. He's well known by the people of the sky realm. The sky realm is the place above all, it's where animals and babies are formed to be sent to live their lives. It's the land Harry owns, along with
Zayn;element of earth,
Liam;element of air,
Niall;element of water, and
Louis;element of fire. They're the keepers of the elements, they make sure that things down on earth are stable and protected at all times, they keep peace, and so far they've been pretty good at doing that.

The palace isn't as special as it sounds, it's small but it's enough for the boys of the elements to stay happy. Their favorite room is the one they call the "metal cage." Mother Nature made it for them when they were young to help hone their abilities and help them grow strong, now they use the room to grow stronger and help out Louis, who's the youngest of the group. Louis was created 100 years before Mother Nature left, which is too soon considering how long the other boys had with her. Niall, who's the second youngest had 632 years with her, so the boys had to take it upon themselves to take him in and help him.
The boys were currently spending time in the metal cage with their elementals. The elementals were the small creatures Harry created to go with each element holder to correspond with each of their powers.
"Squip, don't jump on Minnie, you'll put him out again." Niall spoke to his water elemental, who was jumping on Minnie, the fire elemental. Liam laughed as Winn -Air elemental- flew around his head. Zayn was sitting with Eden -earth elemental- reading a book while Louis sat in the corner with a small flame in his hand when Harry walked in with Kai, his elemental. Kai jumped off his shoulder to join the other elementals, the small creatures lined up when they saw Harry, they knew that today was their check up day. Every month Harry would check on how they were doing and how their respective element holders were doing. Harry sat in front of the little creatures and the other element holders watched silently. Harry extended a hand for the first elemental to jump up on, Kai; elemental of life. Harry checked his power, his brain activity and asked his small friend how he was doing. The elementals could communicate with Harry, what with him being able to talk to animals. The small creature told Harry he was okay and not to spend too much time on him for he spends every second with him anyway. Harry goes on to set his elemental down and pick up Eden; elemental of earth. He did the same check up on him as his own creature but this time asked how Zayn was doing, he always wants to make sure his friends are happy. The elemental tells him Zayn is very happy and content right now and is currently in contact with a pretty woman that he would like to marry. That makes Harry smile and he tells the small creature to watch over him and make sure he doesn't get hurt or that he doesn't hurt the women. The elemental understands and Harry sets him down. He moves to the next creature Winn; elemental of Air. He checks up on him and then asks about Liam and finds out all good things. Harry sets down Winn and picks up Squip; elemental of water, repeating the check up.
When he sets down Squip, he looks to Winnie, the fire elemental. Harry smiles, letting his left hand drift smoothly around his right, encasing it with a protective shell to not burn himself. He thinks he hears one of his friends shuffle but dismisses his suspicion as soon as it comes. He picks up the small fire creature. "Hello Winnie." He speaks softly to the small creature, it squeaks a greeting. Harry smiles, repeating the checkup.
"How's Louis?" He brings the small creature close enough to his ear to hear him, but far enough that he doesn't burn him. "Louis has been very sad, he doesn't talk about it at all but it came all of a sudden last month, after my checkup, he was crying and has been sad ever since." This makes Harry frown. He thanks the small creature and sets him in the ground. He looks up and over to his friends, Louis is sitting far away from his fellow element holders. "Louis, Winnie tells me you've been down lately. Is everything okay?" Harry asks tentatively, slowly standing up to walk over to him. Louis just stares at the ground as he sits on the bench. "What's my purpose?" He speaks up. "What ever do you mean, Lou? You have a purpose, mr. fire-element-holder." Harry speaks sweetly, he has always found Louis to be the one he fonds over most. "That's not what I asked, I asked what am I meant for.. why do I deserve to sit on a pedestal with you. You create life, Zayn gives that life a place to live, Niall keeps that life healthy, Liam makes sure the life lives in comfort and... and I kill it. I'm here for them to be afraid of me. I do nothing but scare them." Louis speaks, his voice once strong and defiant, falling soft and shaky, his eyes filling with tears. "Lou, you have a purpose." Zayn stands, taking a step towards his friend. "No, I don't." Louis' hands are thrown forward, a small patch of fire erupting from his hands, setting the ground ablaze. He throws his hands out again, trying to put out the small fire, only making it worse, having Niall act quickly and he throws a spout of water to put out the small out-of-control fire. Louis' face falls. "I can't even control myself. I'm useless." He mumbles, exiting the room. Harry follows after him swiftly. "Louis!" He calls after him. But Louis had already disappeared into the fire realm before he could catch him.
