The little things

Waking up was always hard, I expected that being the kitten was just a dream but it never ends, never.
I woke up half cat again, in Callum's bed wearing just the over sized shirt he had given me, it was dawn so he was still asleep but he slept on the couch while I slept on the bed. I wonder why he didn't make me sleep on the couch?
He started to stir in his sleep and I got scared for a second and before I knew it I was eye level with the fucking ground.
He woke up and fed me the gross ass cat food he bought and told me about his "dream" where I was a human cat thing, I wish it was a dream but I still remember it perfectly. He picked me up off the ground and kissed my head, he was going on about going to the store.
I want to go outside to so I weaved in between his legs than sat on his shoes, I figured he'd know what it meant.
"You want to come boa?"
Yeah he knew what it meant.
I meowed in response to his question, he picked me up since he didn't have a leash for me, he said we'd get one on the way.

We got to the pet store and he put a harness and leash on me I didn't mind it very much it was green and blue it was kinda cute.
"What a handsome little kitten." The voice I recognized as Daniel, my sworn enemy.
He and Callum "bro hugged" I wasn't pleased,
But than Daniel scratched under my chin so I guess he's maybe a little okay of a person.
They were talking when a little toy mouse caught my eye, shut up I'm part cat don't judge me!
I ran for it, Daniel had my leash in hand but let go when I ran he underestimated my pure strength!
"Boa stop!" I heard him but the mouse was right there... I wanted the mouse. I got the mouse and a mouthful from Callum about the dangers of running off.
When we got home...Callum's home, I drank some water.
After calming down from the day I'd had I started to fall asleep, but I was soon awoken by Callum's words.
"It wasn't a dream."
I had the oversized shirt on again and I was half human.
"Who is that and why is he wearing cat ears." I peeked up at the other person in the room it's Daniel.
I stretched and yawned looking up at Callum he looked like he was in thought for a minute and It was finally clueing in for me that I'm half human again.
"There is a guy on your couch wearing a cat cosplay and your not saying anything." Danny was definitely the rational one of the two.
"I don't cosplay Daniel." I said sticking my tongue out at him.
"IT KNOWZ MY NAME!!" He shrieked and I giggled a little,
"Faline." I immediately looked at him my face blank waiting for him to yell or something.
"You know him!?" Danny was hidden behind a chair that didn't really hide him well.
"Daniel shut up for a second!" Callum was still looking at me, never wavering his gaze.
"I'm going to go get a drink, I'll be back." Daniel left both of us there in our staring contest.
I was going to try and make a break for the door, I can probably find a new place to stay, someone who doesn't know I'm half human.
I looked at the door and he seemed to know what I was thinking because the second I jumped of that couch he had me pinned on the floor holding both my arms above my head.
"Who are you and what the fuck are you?"
He sounded like he genuinely wanted to know but he was scaring me, I could feel the tears welling up in my eyes.
"My names Faline I was a human that got hit by a car and woke up like this." I was speaking fast and loud the tears now spilling from my eyes. Callum let go of his grip on me and I swiftly backed myself up into the corner again.
"I'm sorry for being rough but you have to understand that that's not believable like at all."
He had his eyebrows pursed while looking at me. He slowly got closer to me and reached for my tail. When he grabbed it every hair on my body stood up and I started purring. I felt weird and hot so I pulled my tail back and looked at him with my best death stare.
"Sorry sorry" he put his hands up and sat down across from me.
But the damage was already done I was hot and my mind was a million places at once.
I was thinking about how I'd rather be a cat in that moment, soon enough I was eye level with the floor again.
"Half human half cat to full cat." Callum was writing this down, he seemed less freaked out this time.
I guess I didn't notice Danny walk through the door because he dropped the glass he had in his hand when I was a kitten again.
"Boa." Danny looked at Callum than back at me.
Uh oh.
