Allie's POV

Sun shining so brightly, with birds flying carelessly, and to top it off is a hot cup of my favorite chocolate drink. What a perfect way to start my special day. You can imagine happiness swelling in my heart as I enjoy planning our day out. Today marks our seventh anniversary, and I can't wait to celebrate it with my most beloved man.

I grabbed my Maye wrap mini dress, paired it with a bow side contrast heels, and curled my long almond-colored hair. He would be dancing in the streets once he sees me, and that's for sure.

He sent me a message that he already made a reservation at The Celestials' exclusive sky lounge.

Everything has to be perfect, so I purposely arrived an hour earlier than our supposed meeting time. I quickly freshened up my peachy-does-it-look and headed back to wait for him.

Tick tock. Tick tock.

Being alone for three hours makes me worried. What if something wrong happened to him? He has never been late to any of our dates, what if he got into an accident while on his way here?

I anxiously sent him messages and even called his phone numerous times but to no avail. Nobody knows his whereabouts, even his family and friends.

T...i...c...k...T...o...c...k

Time starts running in slow motion as my world turns blurry. I cry my heart out as the realization hits me. He is not coming...

My love...

"Apollo!" The only word that escaped my mouth as I jerked up from my bed.

Three years have passed, but the pain still lingers in me every time I wake up from this dream. Those memories haunt me every single night, and all I can do is wipe my tears and laugh it off once I opened my eyes in the morning.

"I think I'm seriously going insane." I sighed heavily.

My relieving-the-past moment was interrupted by my mom barging in my room, "Rise and shine, my darling Allie. Don't keep the man waiting downstairs."

"Mom, you almost sound like a chirping bird with that tone," I responded jokingly and looked at my phone to see that it's a Saturday. "Crap! I must've overslept."

"Oh yes darling, you did. Now move along before my chirping bird tone becomes a growling lion." She replied and waved at me dismissively.

I quickly run myself a bath and meet Adrian downstairs. "Hi. Uhm... Sorry I ove-"

He kissed me on my cheek and smiled. "Hey, it's fine. You're here and that's what matters. So, shall we?"

I gave him a nod, and headed to the restaurant.

When Apollo left, I started my career as a professional chef and set up my restaurant where I met Adrian Matsuo. I owe half of my restaurant's success to Adrian. He's not only an investor but also a good friend. He was always there to lend his shoulder for me to cry on whenever I needed one.

I thought this day couldn't get any worse but I was wrong. My heart missed a beat as I saw a familiar man standing by the door.

He is back. Apollo's back.
