Apollo's POV

It's been three years since she last saw me, and here I am standing at her doorway, expecting that she'll welcome me with open arms. Hmpf. Is it just me being optimistic or being a real dumbass?

We've been together through thick and thin for seven years, so I knew Allie by heart. Her smile falls as we locked eyes, searching for answers she deserves. I know I had to do it, so I mustered up the courage, and nervously approached her.

Her body tensed as I continue to walk towards her until we're an inch apart. "Allie..."

I was stunned as the sudden and sharp pain radiates on my left cheek. "How could you?!" She exclaimed and turned her face away from me.

Fighting the urge to hold her, I exhaled deeply "Please... Please, listen to me. I know I've done something terrible... I've caused you pain but please hear me out."

After a long moment of silence, she faced in my direction and waited for me to continue.

"I never forgot the day I abandoned you..." I closed my eyes and sighed.

Three years ago.

I'm on my way to The Celestials when two unfamiliar cars blocked my way. A woman in her forties stepped out from one of the cars, then knocked at my window and said "Follow us quietly." I don't know if I was hypnotized but followed her at a hidden mansion.

She escorted me towards the room of an unconscious man, my real father. She hugged me tight and explained everything to me. Luckily, my father survived a shot from his greatest rival in the industry, but was kept as a secret.

Despite of being in hiding, I was determined to find a way to keep an eye on Allie. How I wish I could be the one to do it, but I don't have a choice. So, I sent my bodyguard, Adrian to do the job for me.

I took over the company and travelled to Ireland, Morocco, Nepal, Oman, Thailand, Germany, Iceland, Vietnam, Indonesia, New Zealand, Greece, Yemen, Oslo, United Kingdom, Ukraine, and Poland, but my heart will always be with Allie.

Every single day I prayed this was over so I could run back to Allie.

I held her hands with mine, "Allie, I'm sorry for leaving you alone but I want you to know that I've never stopped loving you. I tried so hard to make it in time, so I hope I wasn't too late, Allie Raines, will you still marry me?"

Adrian handed her the book "I wrote that book hoping I could give it to you. All of the places I went to are recorded there and you must know that every first letter of the countries I visited represents the words I've wanted to tell you."

And she said YES!
